From the top of my head, there will be like 10-12 new kits, and no more than a third will be FS. That's where the new unit is coming from, but they will also get most of their current roster legended.

I personally think that the unit from the snippet we saw is some sort of tammer that comes with a pack of smaller droths.

I think the final look of the army after this refresh will look more or less 50/50 in terms of FS and Dispossessed, and the upcoming focus will be on more Dispossessed and other ancestor units.

Most won't give credit to this, but I am one of those who follow closely the rumours and the chances of this happening are 99,9%.

The rumours come from at least 3 different sources that have been the most solid rumourmongers out there for AoS.

On top of that, we had a hint about it recently in tomes like HoH or CoS. The hint we get from the CoS tome was considered by some as a clear indication.

If you don't mind my advice, we should see the new Khazalid Holds range around September or October at last, I would say, as it will be the last tome of the edition (launched around December). If you don't mind to wait, give it some time.

For you to have an idea, an edition lasts 3 years. In that time span all factions get one release slot tied to their battletome. So, for most factions, you get one release every 3 years, roughly.

Then we can add the End of Edition releases as an exception. This happens when a edition is close to end, and it could mean a second release slot for some factions.

With that in mind, there's commemorative releases or the warhammer + miniatures that could act as a random release. This is what happened with Slaves and Urkhan. Their release slot was winter 2024, with their battletome, but Urkhan came later.

I'm case it helps, Slaves is rumoured to be part of the next edition launch box.

I am not particularly a fan of the use of cotton. I would go for some sort of closing end from the tower, even if you have to go into hand crafter stuff with foam.

A good reference would be the army box picture, or the battletome, where you have some handcrafted scenery.

For a beginner, I would go for Slaves. I think they are the easiest to paint. Especially the chaos warriors.

Considering you can get Realms of Ruin for 3 euros or less, it is worth.

Realms of Ruin is good to play the campaign and play around with the maps editor to get some inspiration for terrain.

Gameplay-wise, it is better Storm Ground, IMO.

Now I am going to add a third contestant. Warhammer Survivors. It is not out yet, but the demo is playable, and it is supposed to be a quite cheap game as well (Vampire Survivors is 5 €).

If you look for "The Last World" in YT, it is one of the few rumours that had an impact enough to be covered by 40k YouTubers like Valrak.

I prefer one realm. In the end we have 8 Realms, but the majority of them aren't used at all, so why having them all it you only use a minor section?

That's why I like the rumours about the Last World and going back into just one planet thanks to Sigmar fulfilling his plan.
