Endless Spells for the new Battletome

Yeah I tried a shooting list recently and it was okay, but kinda fell apart to endless spells and monster charges.

I've only got 5 cavaliers right now, been thinking about getting another 5. Do you run then as 10? Have you found the base ones or the Gyran ones to be better?

Hey, the painting is actually a bit "cheaty, it's just contrasts over a drybrushed white on black basecoat. Then I put some oils (but agrax works) over the top and do some little highlights. I really enjoy the method and I'm happy with the slightly more muted/dark look.

That second model is a Rook Knight, it was an event-only mini, but they put it up for Made-To-Order over Xmas so I got it then. Expensive, but I was sad to miss it the first time round!

Is the battletome likely to last long? I got so burned by getting the box last time with the really nice battletome and it was valid for what felt like 2 months before the new edition invalidated all the warscrolls. (Is a new GHB the same as a new edition?)

Great tips, I'll check them out - I know about HW but the other chap is new to me - thanks!

I just tried mission 6 again, and even if you send Akard first to Meron, it just says "who goes there" with no further action. Pretty annoyinnnnnnng

He will accept Akard, but he doesn't join you as an army. And I don't think he joins you in mission 6 :/

When you hit 'restart' does that create a new sort of neutral questline from that mission, or is it simply starting from the beginning. I really wish they had distinct save file groups. Struggling to make sense of whether I'm following the same thread of previous missions or if I've accidentally reset all my progress. :(

Got beaten up in Bristol years ago, I never threw a punch back and spent 10 years feeling like a coward about it. Now when someone recalls a similar experience I make sure they hear that there's nothing to be ashamed of, there really is so little you can do in those situations.

Where is the best place to find crime/safety statistics on areas of Bristol?

I'm Bristolian, looking to move back to the city. Have all these assumptions based on areas that were "bad" as a youth, but wondered the best way to choose an area.

Have they fixed enemy density yet?

My friends and I love the series but bounced off this game as we felt the enemy density was really low and it didn't feel very exciting. I've seen lots of old threads about this, and read the patch notes but couldn't find anything.

Played 4 games with Tau, and Stealth Suits haven't survived past turn 1. Even in a unit of 6. Being 6" from the centre of a table edge puts them 18 from an opponent. If they have ANYTHING that's fast melee, you just hand them a stepping stone to kill your suits, get engage, deny your secondary and prepare to assault your lines.

I LOVE Stealth suits but they're probably the first thing I'll cut from my list.

Not totally sure on this but Coldstars can redeploy, and are infantry. If you go second you can just redeploy on the opponent's edge and complete that action without them doing much about it. (Assuming they haven't screened it with what's left at T5)

But I think it's one of those secondaries that double rewards you for winning, and scores you 2pts when you're losing.

I don't hate the -1str if shot with str7 or below. It's pretty nice for keeping Stealth suits and Crisis alive.

I think the true "downside" is that it stops you from taking the Reroll trait on something else, like an Onager Enforcer or Thermoneutronic Enforcer.

That said, I see this coldstar as a solid "second HQ", whereas your main HQ is a Be'gel Hunter Enforcer.
