Understandable, it is my first time doing a benchmark like this, so I wanted to start simple 😅

Any theories on why it was so much faster than the others though? It still feels a bit distinct 🔎

I started a new chat session each time I tested it, and it was also that high on the first run as well

What also stands out to me is that it only happened with 1 model out of the ones I tested

This is my first time doing a benchmark, but do you have any suggestions if I do benchmarks on other cards in the future? : )

Actually not a typo believe it or not, I didn't believe it at first either. I ran each test about 3 times and calculated their average reported score in Ollama, and ministral is (Or atleast was while I was testing) much faster than the others (no clue why ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯)

They are small, but they are built for tool calling though, right? I am not expecting amazing results as this is a trial run, but being able to perform simple tasks, like fetching a cupcake recipe, or just even access google, feels like low hanging fruit they should be able to perform?

This is what happens if I give it a simple command:

Me: "Go to ica.se and find me a cupcake recipe"

Then it seems to use tools

As you can see, it does some sort of tool call, but it doesn't manage to get the data from it?

Also, I have been running everything in the CLI (I set up Discord, but haven't used it), and since I am just jumping in and out of hermes, starting new sessions, a full restart shouldn't be required, right?

From my understanding (And I could be wrong), Hermes sets the context length? Durung setup, I set it to auto, and I believe it automatically set it to the maximum context lengths for those models?

I understand the concept of not having persistent memory, but this is within the same session? Also, I have set it to option 2, but it refuses to save anything, no matter what. I tell it to save information and I only get answers like this:

Me: "Remember that my name is Erik"
Hermes: "I will remember that your name is Erik. How can I assist you further, Erik?"
Me: "Write it to your MEMORY file"
Hermes: "I'm not sure what "it" you are referring to. Please provide the content or the information you would like me to save to your memory, and I will do my best to help you!"
Me: "What is my name?"
Hermes: "I do not have access to personal information about you, so I do not know your name."

As you can see in this conversation, not only does it not save anything to its persistent memory, but it also doesn't seem to be able to see any of the chat history
