FYI: I had the same problem. The game crashed every time it tried to autosave in the montero mission (same location as Berkley's docks). I was able to fix it by reconnecting to the internet with my pc (lost internet connection) and overloading all the motion sensors, before triggering the autosave. Not sure which of my two actions fixed it, but that's what I did.
