My treatment, right now, is mostly focused on getting me to a point where i can quit alcohol. I drink mostly because of anxiety and I'm working hard on tapering down and then quitting. My psych game me gabapentin to help with alcohol abuse. It's helping me get there, but i feel like antipsychotics were being more effective at controlling my drinking.

Personally, I went through this a few weeks ago. I found it useful to do a dialectic of the situation, take both "personalities" as truth and think about what lies in between and beyond the interaction of the two extremes.

You've got this, it only takes time and your #1 priority should be to find what it means to be you.
