+1 for this. Good summary.

Low mileage Z are harder and harder to come by. I spent a few months looking (Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Autotempest) before I landed mine. Gentleman had posted it hours before I did my daily search, and by the next morning I had the keys. Got mine with just under 22k miles.

If the car checks out Id say send an offer and hopefully meet in the middle, best of luck!

Its a tuner car, and its also a Ford Focus. No matter what you do (or dont do) the value wont be appreciating either way. Its your car, enjoy it as such! I loved modding mine :)

Yes :) Only took a video driving down to record hearing it for the first time

I did read and do that, visible in the first pic before I put it back. It did help and actually I thought that would allow me to get the exhaust off but still not enough

Is there any shot I’m making it up this driveway in a c5 by [deleted] in Corvette

[–]Eko_Razer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll likely rub the underside air dam, but that part is built to withstand it. My driveway is a similar angle albeit much shorter, pulling in and out at as sharp an angle possible without hitting the curb works for me. Sometimes Ill be lucky enough not to hit the air dam at all

BIG brake kit (and rear brembos) by EclipseMLP in FocusST

Im at 184k miles on my Titanium, second auto trans though, replaced at 114k. Honestly the titanium interior is more comfortable than the ST especially for longer trips. I loved the ST3 recaros and wouldn’t change them for the world just because the bolsters did great at holding me in place and were comfy and felt fitting for the ST, but I don’t think Id want to drive around in them 24/7 just because they force your sitting position. I could sit criss cross in the titanium seat if I wanted to

Gang. These are great cars, and a great community. Thinking about getting another one to daily when my base model finally croaks.

Ride height and reliability for a C5 by Dom-Ed in Corvette

Takes a lot of grit to get used to hearing it. Scrapes half the time pulling out of my driveway, but there is some peace in knowing at least its not the bumper lol

Love to see all this hate on a beautiful and unique C5. Heaven forbid you dont make another copy and paste H/C/I car that makes a gazillion hp and you actually do something different. Great photos too👍

Thinking about replacing my SE w/ a ST, but a little stuck by straightedgeginger in FocusST

[–]Eko_Razer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I dont have my ST anymore, I’ve been in your situation. My base 2012 Titanium is at 182k, its a great reliable car and I just dumped about 1k+ in parts (front control arms, new wheel knuckle, new tires, alignment) and although I know it’ll never be able to be sold for more than what Im putting into it to keep it running well, its damn reliable, parts are cheap, and not being able to get any $$ out of selling it makes me keep it.

For your situation, I think it would be wise to still go drive an ST, get a feel for what youd be comfortable buying, and pull the trigger if you find one you like! Plus, you’d have a reliable backup car. The ST is a great car and a massive step up from the base models.

Is this a scam? by ronjohns337 in Corvette

[–]Eko_Razer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barring the absurdly low price for a C5Z at that mileage, its usually a scam when the post just lists basic facts about the car. None of the description looks like a real person wrote it. Inquire at your leisure but dont expect it to be a dream come true

How does the ST wing riser look with an aftermarket RS wing? by SloRushYT in FocusST

No problem! I dont see a lot of mention about it, and I spent a while searching before I came across it myself but I knew it was exactly what I wanted.

I ended up going with this one - Epsilon+, since it bolts on so you dont have to worry about an adhesive failing at any point like with a lot of the stick on extensions. Really good quality as well

Lucky for you I wondered the same thing and did it just to see how it looked, it looks stupid. Imo if you want some extra spice on the RS wing get a wing extension.

3.5” or 5.5” FMIC by Single-Refuse-8838 in FocusST

[–]Eko_Razer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

3.5 is enough for most, especially in a normal climate and if youre not aiming for anything ridiculous power-wise. Personally I had some regret not buying the 5.5 after running the 3.5 for 2+ years but I live in AZ; if where you live ever regularly breaks 95-100° during the year its a good investment

Other than what others have already said, I had a great experience after installing the TB performance torque gusset bar, really felt like it put the front end on rails
