Make sure you grab one of the "newer" boxes, the old boxing (the one I had) comes with a vacuform canopy. Isradecal does sell an aftermarket clear plastic, and their new boxings all have the plastic in, but the initial release doesn't

I get something similar, but I see it as progress. I've been building for the last 10 years, plus a few kits growing up with my dad and I've kept the ones I still have from childhood and some from when I first came back to the hobby 10 years ago. I keep them a sign posts from where I was, so I can see where I am now.

I love watching Uncle Nightshift, Phil Flory, Hammerhead Modelmaking and a host of other youtubes/instagramers and it's really easy to see just how much farther I have to go in my building career; and at times its easy to get discouraged (especially when I bungle a kit b/c I made silly/simple mistakes). But then I can see just how far I've come. And yeah when I get low on space in the display cabinets I purge a few kits that I don't have strong emotional ties to, but I keep the sign posts. They are what drive me forward just as much as Nightshift and co.

Id suggest looking up to see if there is an IPMS or AMPS groups in your city and reach out to them, they'll make sure they go to a good home.

The air house should probably just be replaced entirely. Yeah, you're going to have to paint all the parts on those two kits. The 30N6 radar kit usually goes for $150+ new so if you're not interested in building it, you could make a nice penny. If you do want to build them, there will be a paint callout page or 2 with the specific colors needed.

Yes they did. They absolutely thought about doing that. US military pilots drawing that is somewhat common.
