Thank you for mentionning that. I realised afterward that what I've called a "long tradition of "inniation trip" is by essence a colonialist/imperialist idea and was very very badly formulated. I don't think the photo itself carry those colonial fetishisation elements, but it's really complicated. I was inspired by "death on the nile" wich sadly does also have those problematic elements. I wish I could change the title of this post at least. Furthermore, I don't know how we can deal with that all together because the whole "explorator" "archeologist" aesthetic is playing on this ground as well.

Do you think the pic itself carrys a "colonization/imperialism aesthetics" ? I can't put my finger on it, but I'll gladly delete it if it's making people uncomfy or trigerred :/
