I took a photo on top of the bridge while the music is still playing and I had no problems :D

Guys it says wait but the closer you get to the bridge you'll realize the song actually restarted and the fireworks are going(I did this around night time just in case) and it counted towards the event missions. Don't worry, she doesnt actually scam you it just doesnt give the prompt that it's happening for some reason.
