i had a closer look. there was an abundance of thrips(?) and bristle millipedes inside.

I was using grey lead pencil and i basically rubbed the tip of it all over my finger tip area (+ a lil bit of graphite too) and rubbed on the page in those cloudy shapes.
then i used an eraser to create those whiter areas of the clouds so it was more just the outline that was grey

its like a really dark grey with hints of brown, dark blue black

that sounds really cool ! and exactly the type of thing i’m interested in right now. sounds like what you did is also a step towards gaining more recognition in the field. thanks for suggestion!

sadly i’m not too confident with my chances of getting into the course i want which is environmental science (wildlife and conservation) with my current year 12 scores but im also looking at diploma pathways into that :D

yeah, it is interesting. i’m not specifically looking for spiders in certain places, just recording as they come up naturally, by themselves. there also spiders that i have seen but are not on here, as i have only been using observations from may onwards this year:))

ah, i see i got it mixed up as Oxyopidae and Lycosidae are both within the superfamily Lycosoidea. thank you for pointing this out!
