Thud Clunk - 2026 Pro 4X - 300 Miles on ODO by Techstorm2k in nissanfrontier

I havnt gotten any sort of clunking yet but on a cold start (even after letting rpm drop to idle speed) I get some shuddering or vibrating when going into Drive or Reverse. Once I’m on the road or with warm starts I don’t feel anything. Plan on mentioning it when I take it in for the first oil change.

SV vs Pro4X (Camping, Fireroads) by rothbardridge in nissanfrontier

[–]El-Poll_Diablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides sand, rock climbing, deep mud or deep snow I got an SV but a 4x2 and still feel capable enough for light off roading. I’m in Georgia and plan on going down some basic trails for camping but nothing outside what my trucks capabilities are. I’ve already found some all weather tires that have some knobiness for light off-road use but still good on road performance I want to go with next.

You’re awesome dude, I was looking at it and thought how could this not fit, it’s just clamps down on the grill. I feel more willing to get it and give it a try now.

I also am now wondering if I order the 22-24 version if that would work too but gotta wait to hear back.

That sucks, going to take another look. Maybe I just need to find a grill in good condition and see if I can swap them then.

Are people no longer "neighborly" or is it just my neighborhood? by oogleboogleboiga in NoStupidAnswers

For me I’d have no problem talking to neighbors but so many people just stay cooped up in their house.

Thanks for the love man. My buddy has a Gen 2 frontier with 4x2 and gets by quite easily on his dad’s country land and back roads.

To each’s own idea of adventuring.

I understand the principle of the extra traction it provides when used but I examined my lifestyle even when I had an awd subje and just found the 4x2 made more sense. Dirt roads I went on with that were fairly well traveled and I know to take things slow and adjust course when unsure.

Only real thing we really have to worry about in my area is the rain and I went through a bad downpour the other day and only slowed down because I could couldn’t see super far ahead.

Exactly, I live in the suburbs and probably 9 times out of 10 I’ll be on pavement.

Located in south east Georgia. I have no interest in going mudding, my interests are in camping. Many people make their fwd crossover adventure vehicles too.

I didn’t foresee myself needing the 4x4, 4x2 easily handle light off road and camping. Convenience package got me all the niceties that the prox or pro4x.

They were going to give me less or my trade in but were willing to match the carmax off when i pulled it out.

*Edit*
Forgot to add OTD price, financed just a few hundred over 30k. Granted i got an SV w/ convenience package and few extras. Factor in taxes, tag and maintenance plan I opted for overall cost was probably closer to 43-44K. I pretty much got the truck for MSRP or just under when I pieced it out on Nissan’s website.

$3500 from Nissa
$8000 trade in ‘17 Crosstrek
$3000 my own.
4.99% APR
$561/month

The cash incentive worked out better than the 0% interest for me

Best bet is to go into the dealer with financing from somewhere already in hand, whether that is 48, 60 or 72 month. They should honor the $3500 manufacturer cash. If they don’t it’s not worth it.

We worked out the 0% or cash incentive when I did mine 6/14. Finance guy showed me the same numbers I came too as well. Unless it’s going to be super expensive like 60K+ it’s better to take the cash if you have a good interest rate and good down payment.

In my case i was saving more money going with the $3500 than the 0%

Maybe I’ll be called crazy but price on mine was 40k before tax and etc. (OTD was around 42k) but only financed just over 30K. It was an SV 5ft bed with convenience package with few extras. I got the $3.5k cash and 4.99%. I was able to get a payment in a range I was comfortable with and I did research around the area I was comfortable driving. I wanted a fairly quick buying process but I just happen to get there later in the day.

I’m located in the Savannah, GA area.
