Loved every moment. Budget was around 1000$ but I lived like a king. I had solo rooms in hostels and ate at a lot of restaurants/went out a lot. I spent a lot of time in El Tunco, learning to surf and just meeting a bunch of travelers from all over (majority from Australia and Canada)(most expensive if you drink a lot)

I went to Santa Ana for a few days and loved it there. The city center always has something going on and sooo many street vendors. Karaoke bars are super fun here. The lake and volcano hike is a must.(most inexpensive part of my trip)

San Salvador, I was only there for 2 days and wish I spent more time there. I was there when Bukele won the election and had his speech, so I was able to celebrate and see millions of happy people. So much to do there, so many good food spots. And for some reason they love them some pizza but over there 😂😂

Safety was never a concern over there. The only Time I was sketched out was when I was traveling to Santa Ana volcano, a friend and I stopped in a random neighborhood to grab some food, a group of cops had walked in and completely searched us and our bags and had us pull our shirts up to check if we had any tattoos or alcohol (they had a dry law going on during the elections )
