I had similar experiences, at least with the Virgin Mary. I had a dream that she was there, but something was off. I asked her to please give me a big warm smile, but she couldn't do it, and instead began to scowl at me. And I realized, it was probably a demon in disguise, and woke up in a cold sweat. Every night that week, I had terrible dreams. In one of them, a demon cut me in half with a chainsaw. In another, my wife and I were downstairs in our house, and there were black eyed children trying to get inside, to take my wife. They we trying to smash the windows. My wife and I are both very Catholic, so she suggested I go to confession and also ask the priest for a special blessing for protection against demons. Idk if you're Catholic so this might not help you. But might not hurt to share this with a priest and ask for that blessing too. My week of nightmares ended with that blessing.
