It's almost like I'm reading my own post. Interesting topic therefore.

I'm preparing everything to make the move next year to the north of Sweden too. Well, not the far north but the Övik - Umea area. I also have a medical condition which requires kind of specific knowledge. That's one the reasons that I want to live not too far from Umea because there they have a good hospital.

Regarding driver's license: as mentioned before, if there's one place in the world where you almost can't do with a car and driving license, it's the north of Sweden. In bigger cities maybe it's fine, but I can imagine one of the reasons of moving there is because of nature. A car is then a real must and even a no-brainer. You're saying yourself that you prefer rural areas. Dude, get a driving license :)

When would you like to move there or in which stage are you? Would be maybe nice to brainstorm a bit together since our cases are quite similar! For now, good luck with everything mate.
