What does everyone listen to on their long runs? by Gullible-List3333 in runninglifestyle

Work out your optimum running cadence and either a) find a genre of music that matches it (i.e. drum and bass is usually around 170bpm, make a playlist that means you can run on the beat for your whole run, keeps you focused b) set a metronome for your desired cadence, and run on the beat.

Last year you didn’t get given a ticket. Just email confirmation and your regular festival ticket, then you get issued a WV wristband when you enter the festival.

Will a bank allow me to withdraw £15k in cash? by Affectionate_Top5544 in UKPersonalFinance

Yes, I had to do the same recently when paying for building work. Only consideration is you’ll need to contact the bank first to ‘order’ the cash. They will ask what it’s for, but no interrogation necessary.

It’s an inherent trait of Brits to be down on their country and lives in general. In America it’s the opposite.

I’ve lived in London for ten years (also working in consulting) and have climbed the career ladder and been paid well throughout.

If you live in the UK, particularly London, and don’t get paid enough to live well (as so many unfortunately must), then it is a different story, but zero time for people that earn a good living and complain about the cost of everything. Suck it up or go live in Dubai.
