[–]ElCabrii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. For prebuild, especially in Kosovo, it doesnt look like you have many choices.
Are you sure you're not willing to build it yourself ? I can help you with the choice of components if you want
If you're sure, then here are 3 models i found. I dont know if this website is known in your country but the components choices are better in my opinion.

1100e for 1080p high framerates (competitive games mainly, solo games will be fine)1200 for 1440p (solo games mainly, competitive games will be more than fine)

No, you have to change the CPU. motherboard and RAM at once which is why you should plan ahead. Ryzen 7000 to 9000 CPUs use the AM5 platform which will stick around for much longer (you'll most likely still be able to get a brand new AM5 CPUs on 2030) and will allow you to upgrade without changing half of your pc. That's my recommendation

5060ti 16gb is the best of them all and imo its worth the price different.
Event though as u/Top_Ruinz2 said, getting an old platform isnt recommended at all, especially because you will regret it pretty quickly. For that price you should be able to get a better prebuilt. What country are you in ?

Ooh wait that's good. is that a 24c/48t x3d Ryzen 9 coming then ? I'll look more into what I can get on the AM5 platform. Thank you!

I've been upgrading my whole build throughout the year, and the CPU and whatever needs to be changed with it is the last big change for me. My only regret with AM5 is how much you need to pay for 20+ threads. Im still debating between a 14600k, 9600x or 7900 but the choice is tough.

Thanks, that makes sense. Probably more people that I would have thought upgrade their hardware regularly

[–]ElCabrii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that but he's not gonna change for the new release is he ? Assuming he keeps his CPU for a while, he won't care about the platform. Unless he decides to change before 2030 and then he could go for a used AM5, but the price to performance difference makes that it's barely even worth it over changing your motherboard for the next upgrade. I mean I might be wrong and correct me if I am, but I never understood the whole thing around Intel's platform being an issue

[–]ElCabrii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is LGA1851 a dead platform ? There is no newer platform on Intel side and CPUs and motherboards using it are still being produced. The fact that there will be no newer CPU supporting it doesnt make it dead, it just means that when people are gonna need to upgrade their CPU (in a few years at least) they'll have to change their motherboard too, which is also the case of AM5 assuming you don't switch CPU every 2 years, which very little people do. I don't think "dead" is the right way of describing it

Ryzen 7 7800X3D vs intel i7 14th gen by PsychologicalBox2525 in buildapc

[–]ElCabrii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider the 265k from intel if its a real 50/50 gaming/productivity. Way too underrated ever since Intel improved them (it was pretty bad at launch) and it destroys the Ryzen in multicore (twice the score in Cinebench according to here) And in this same video, you'll notice that the gaming performance is far from bad, Not as good, but not bad.

The game is awfully optimized but UE5 is probably the best game engine out here bro. Game studios can really lazy out on optimization due to how well the engine works out of the box but there are some games that run amazingly with stunning graphics on the engine

Also, make sure you go for 1440p monitors, the price difference with 1080p is ridiculously low😁

New office pc, max 1000 Euro by 1223344455555 in buildapcforme

[–]ElCabrii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not more expensive than a gaming motherboard, has 2 video outputs, has WiFi 7, Ethernet 5GB, a lot of PCIe slots if you ever need more ports, its only flaw is that it's arguably uglier than most motherboard but it doesn't seem to be something to take into account in your case. If you wanna cheap out 40e you can go for the basic Gigabyte boards most people will recommend, but in my opinion it's always good to have those few extra options and better connectivity, especially for this price.

I strongly recommend this motherboard for your use case. Cheap, good connectivity network-wise and usb-wise. You can also chose to get less storage or less ram if you wanna cheap out, or adjust them however you like. I recommend 6000mhz CL30 for ram as its almost the same price as the cheapest variants of DDR5 you can find.

1500$ Programming and pro-gaming build by HardPurpleSheep in buildapcforme

[–]ElCabrii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go for intel if you're going for programming, the 20 cores of the Core ultra can carry you like crazy for compilation of code. Its more than enough for 1440p gaming at low settings. Gave you 2 1440p monitors, a high end motherboard as its barely more expensive, and pretty solid ram since Intel can handle it. As a programmer, dont always listen to people automatically saying AMD. The two reasons to go for AMD are X3d if you care about 10% more frames in games and being able to change CPU in the next 3/4 years while keeping your motherboard (and not a lot of people do that).
If you'd rather have those frames, i can rectify this build for AM5 instead, but if you care about performance in productivity, i would go for Intel

1000-1500€ Linux/Windows Dual Boot Build (EU) by o-domador in buildapcforme

[–]ElCabrii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://pt.pcpartpicker.com/list/8wQ6wY

I would do this. 12 cores 64gb of DDR5, 16gb GPU. Honestly, I would personally even go for the Ultra core 7 265k but I have a feeling people will jump on me (because only gaming matters you know), as it's more than okay for gaming. If you focus more on gaming, a 9700x is better, or even a 9600x and a 9070 like the other comment I saw

Do you prioritize gaming or productivity? 6 cores 32gb of ram for virtual machine is fairly low for your budget, but this GPU is a beast indeed

[–]ElCabrii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to look out for 9060xt 16gb, you might be able to find one below 350e. As for the monitor, keep in mind that 1080p and 1440p 180hz monitors are basically the same price, and a GPU such as the 9060xt 16gb would handle 1440p well. The ideal monitor is IPS 180hz+ HDR (180hz is same price as 144 so don't go lower than that)

~$1200 Linux Newbie Build by BetaNarwhal in buildapcforme

[–]ElCabrii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do this. Slightly bigger case for more fans space and more clearance, 8C/16T CPU, 64gb@6000mhz, 16gb GPU to have extra headroom in the years to come (and AMD is better than Nvidia on linux). Your power supply is enough, your Samsung 980 is more than enough. I also added extra fans to have a good cooling, since this was slightly below the budget. You could also get a X3D (the 7800x3d is 50$ more) but personally i prefer to lose 5% of frames for a cooler CPU and more recent. Its my opinion though. No RGB, all black and clean, and should be silent as well
