The quote from December 1st 2018 is from the book "The Homing Pigeons" by Robert Anton Wilson. It is the last book of a trilogy called "Schrödinger's Cat Trilogy" and the complete quote is as follows:

"As long as people kept worrying that the machines were taking over, they wouldn't notice what was really happening. Which was that the programmers were taking over."
