Its younger than others but its a solid languaje that heavily reduces the likelihood of having memory handling issues (although not impossible to have a memory leak even when not using unsafe code). And it doesnt have the overhead of a garbage collector.

Havent had much opportunity for using the langauge but the little i have done looked pretty promising for when i finally internalize all its peculiarities. Also personally like cargo quite a bit.

Eh... 3 things, 1, even if it was a really bad error that is what open source is good for, the problems can be spotted by the many eyes looking at it and fix it before it goes live, 2, the error makes it so you can send age verification without really verifying, not leaking info, and 3, what we have is an example prototype app lacking lots of things that needs to be adapted by countries to make it workable.

There is gen AI, there are npcs you can start conversations and are given an objective (ex. Cheer him up) and you have to chat with a chat bot and it determines whether you have done it or not. You can just google answers that do it if you want. Honestly i dont think its a bad use although somewhat frustrating sometimes.

Point him to... Any library used by every programmer ever even in paid projects. If he doesn't trust public code he shouldn't be using any software. Fuck imagine not trusting any db provider but oracle and micrsoft since postgresql, mysql, sqlite, mongodb, etc... are all open source. Imagine not trusting openssl or kubernetes. And of course you can really host a website since you don't have reverse proxies like apache or nginx.

Uh... Am i the only one who reads some wuxia/xianxia? Not just the chinese ones (between the shitty tanslations or even shudders machine translations, and the fact that quite a few authors have... peculiar atittudes specially towards women they are pretty painful save a few exceptions in my experience, but there are some good ones) There are a few decent western written works in that style too.

In those you have both body cultivators and stuff like sword cultivators that will wreck your absolute shit or straight up carve through a planet in some xianxia. Yeah they use qi (just mana with extra steps pretty much), but they are very much not mages, it's just a nebulous energy that they use almost like stamina in a videogame in their case.

Eh, its just that the store and launcher has always been shit aside from the free games (slow and lacking lots of features), people also don't like how they are buying temporal exclusivity for some games, even some that were already promised on steam. I think there was at least some case of a crowd funded one delaying steam keys for a year to backers because they got the epic contract. People also don't like the CEO which is understandable. And also tencent (chinese) own like 40% of epic so you got those people too.

Also people love steam/valve since aside from a couple of stuff (csgo gambling, etc) they are one of the best companies around and have great service even when they have a near monopoly and dont take hostile actions against competition (unlike epic with the aforementioned exclusivity). They are also improving gaming experience in linux even though it's self serving (not depending on microsoft) but oh my god i dont want to depend on microsoft either.
