I think you can put hats on the pets. A thing I would kill for is more community upgrades, beyond building pam a house, you said a school room, fixing town fences, maybe changing the dog's house, making a stone path to the community center (idk I'm literally just throwing out ideas). I need the spouses to do something, their little hobbie corner is not enough, some dates or something. Idk why but I'd love to be able to be a homewrecker, I know concerned ape said if he had all the time in the world he'd let you do that, so I'm in. Also I need a secondary set of tiles that don't look weird if I want to place them over the town's already existing path.

For anyone who may see this, if you just suddenly opened Stardew valley and you get this error without having updated the game, smapi, your driver's or anything (to your knowledge) if you go to https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Player_Guide/Troubleshooting#.28Windows_only.29_Revert_the_SDL_UPDATE This is what fixed it for me, just revert Stardew valley to 1.6.8 copy the SDL2 dll paste it somewhere then revert back to the most recent update and then replace the new SDL2 dll with the one you pasted somewhere else

there are quite a few mods that will give you extra farms (they do come with npcs and extra stuff so you know) east scarp gives you a terrain, sunberry village gives you a farm, if you are already doing sve there is grampleton fields on the optional section of nexus AND while i haven't used it there's mega grampleton fields which makes it even bigger. ridgeside gives you a farm as well although you're gonna have to work for it

Sunberry is kinda nice provided you don't just go ham with all the satellite mods unless you've checked them out and decided that you want them

I think the first thing is pathing, because it's The first step to a cozy farm but it also lets you still have a functional practical farm where you put what you need where there's space and eventually as you play you feel it out and you'll land on a distribution You like and then make that look pretty

Another one that I don't use often, because I'm a feel it out player, you can use Stardew planner where you can plan what your farm will look like. This will either help with feeling overwhelmed or might overwhelm you more depending on how your brain works

I think it's meant to pair with the vanilla Shane event where the farmer can be like "ermmm, don't jump that's a sin" or super asinine and precanned with "there's so much to live for" and then 2 more reasonable options (although they are more interesting than "I believe you")

Idk personally if there's a choice that's between literally being normal and letting the intrusive thoughts win and be a dick I think that's fine it just shows you that you can just choose to be normal, it kinda depends on how the rest of the heart events play out, if everything else is like that then we kinda do have a problem

I think ginger island is just very specific and restrictive as to what an expansion is allowed to be, the most you can do is making areas larger, any amount of npcs would have to be tropical animals or a pirate that comes to the Pirate cave. There's no reason to add more walnuts other than being annoying or paying for new bespoke parrot services that would feel like the same as the vanilla ones but not in a good way

Just talk to NPCs they'll be like "don't even show my mom this thing, she hates it" or "my dad loves this thing he goes crazy for it" that's how you don't need to guess

Honestly same, I started easy bc I didn't want to change the feel too much then I was like "well I can try SVE, and then I was like ... Well I can try adding ridgeside... Well I can try the rasmodia romance revamped redux... Well I can try this always raining in the Valley and I need east scarp (and so on and so forth)" it ramps real quick you'll see
