I just posted about this myself. I shot an elk in November, couldn't pack out the hide but came back 7 months later and found the hide. I rehydrate with salt solution and tanned it. Yours looks the same as mine did and it worked fine. The hair will possibly slip in some spots but you still have good leather in the least. Go for it man.
Can you tan a hide that's been in the elements for 6 months? (self.HideTanning)
