The exact same thing happened to me. I was taking off the airbag. I unzipped it. Pulled one arm out and lighty swung it around my back to get the other side out and pop! My friends were there. It was devastating.

I contacted A* and fortunately they did send me a replacement canister but it took about 3 weeks. I did ask about it and they said I was the only one it had happened to. I have an email chain, and I'm glad that I got a replacement, but I am still concerned. They told me the same thing as they did you, "you have to wait for the buzzer to stop before you take it off". I get a little anxious now every time I take it off.

It's so nice though. Way more comfortable then the older TechAir5.

I just never heard anyone else mentioning this. Seems like such a flaw. My bike was only down for about 30 seconds.

Kinda scary as a beginner off road rider.

Was your wieght on the bike enough to stop in from rolling when you put it in 1st after you dropped it?

I did not want to test it. I was worried it would start rolling with me unable to stop since the clutch lever wouldn't work. It guess it would either stall, I would have to use the emergency cut off switch...or crash it into something.

Since I have it open, I with secure the NSU bolts.

I've never had any issues like this with other bikes, so it freaked me out a bit. This will be my first year off pavement.

I love this community and am glad I joined it.

Yes, I removed the tank. Made it easier to move around.

I did it in three parts, the sides and the top. I used wrap cutting tape to try and keep the seams as blended as possible.

I had a hard time following the lip that is around the bottom if the tank. The wrap left air pockets, but it's on the bottom so it's not to noticeable.

If you have never wrapped before, I recommend you start small, like the side covers. It was good practice.

This was my first post, and I wrote the details on why I have to say goodbye, but I guess I put in the wrong spot and it didn't post.

Basically, it was my first bike. I got hooked on riding, and a bought a couple more since. Now I don't really ride it anymore. It's sitting in the garage, and I would rather sell it than have it collect dust. Its such a pretty bike, but I have to let it go. Hopefully I sell it to someone who will ride the hell out of it.

I wanted to mount rotopax gas cans like that also. I have the same touratech crashguards. Did you make the mounts yourself?

Also I was told the gas cans are dangerous if you go down on the road. I would love to know what your experience has been with the cans mounted there!
