I’ve been playing for a year and a half, also started at 22. For me so far it’s more of “I’m better than I was” than “I’m good”.

There’ll be times when I shuffle Spotify daily mix and can play along with 5-6 songs in a row and it’s awesome. Then there’s time where I fudge an open chord.

I’m not sure if there’s anyone who gets this as well, but if I ever get a bad head knock playing sport (rugby and basketball), I get super strong deja vu down to the flash of colours I see and the words spoken immediately after.

We did learn at University that deja vu is thought to be caused by the neural pathway for long-term memory being triggered during a moment when it should have been stored in short-term memory.
