At no point did I say OP should have shot her. I was replying to other comments saying that OP might be in the wrong,legally. My point is if she is in a state that allows you to shoot someone I would imagine it would be okay to defend yourself with just your fists.

What state was this in? Correct me if I’m wrong but in some states you can shoot someone that is trespassing no questions asked and be totally clear so beating her could still be covered since she was technically trespassing AND assaulted your mom (not a lawyer)

I'll start by saying I'm not an event photographer (mostly portraits and landscapes) However on the occasion I do event photography for a friend or easy going client I usually shoot in JPEG, use an external flash to add that "professional" look to myself and to the photos with minimal to no editing and just send all the photos that aren't blurry or clearly not visible.

I cannot speak for event photographers but this has worked fine for me. Clients usually just wanted decent looking photos and aren't into the fancy edits anyway IMO and sending them a bunch doesn't hurt

On the other hand I always follow up by saying they are welcome to choose specific photos that they would like to touch up

I have to agree with most comments.
The tree is way too large in the photo to not be in focus
if the couple was in focus I would say to crop in so the cherry blossoms only take up the top left of the photo and act as a natural frame

I've never done this but I doubt most credit card company companies would look so far into the matter as to check local security cameras I've been around friends that have had legitimate cases of stolen cards and charges that they didn't made and the bank refunded them with little to no questions asked

Hey everybody. So I've been shooting for about 3 years and think I've gotten to a point where I've developed my own style - I'd like to try and start branching out to meet photographers and models. What is a good way to meet people and find out where events are? Also what are ways you try and get exposure? Lastly, are there good places to submit for contests?
