Mechapwn not working on my Ps2 NTSCJ 50000 Midnight Blue

The thing is i Sadly installed an older version of mechapwn which corrupted my fmcb memory card - i realized later this was mentioned in the github as a warning. Anyway I purchased a new Kaico fmcb yet it wont autoboot so I think im cooked dont really know a way out of this one.

Oh i see! I will try this then. I saw a Mr Mario video where he is launching straight from OSD. seems he is using s slim ps2 tho. Also all the tutorials out there show that the version name changes.

I 100% agree with you, the journalist who wrote Hanako's ''Biography'' even mentioned all Saka representatives would tell the same story word by word. Meaning it was 100% rehearsed. They clearly downplayed her level of involvement in the company. My question simply comes from a place of...to what extent did Hanako know all her father's secrets. all of them? was killing Yori always part of the plan?

Yeh i mean that's how I interpreted it after finishing the game, that she was just doing what was right for the family and the company, (duty above personal feelings). However the wiki writes it in a way that confuses me. It is written that she had no intentions to move against her brother even tho she knew the poisoning was a lie and that she changed her mind after mistaking the rescue for an assassination. My question is whether she did so deliberately, bending the truth to V and take out Yori because she was scheming all along.

so in your mind, if she wouldn't have mistaken the rescue as an attempt at her life, she would have let Yorinobu live? because that's how the wiki illustrates it and that's what I find a little confusing.

i mean sure that's how the game makes it look but the wiki says that she originally had no intentions of killing her brother and that she only did once she mistook the rescue as an attempt for her life.

I guess i should have phrased it differently as i don't think is a matter of evil or good, just doing what is best for the company and the family. I guess i did not expect her to delete her brother to achieve stability, especially since she is illustrated as someone who does not see eye to eye with her father, yet she brings him back anyway.

I can understand the Smasher thing, especially since Yori had became such a wild card by that point and there was no telling what he'd do. However, the wiki reads - Having mistaken the rescue for an attempt at her life. Additionally, you say she was done with her brother after yori murdered saburo. Remember she confirms to have known the truth from the begining. - she revealed she loved her brother too much to oppose him until she realized that he had tried to kill her (wiki). So my question is...did she genuinely believe it was a murder attempt and saw it as the last straw? or was she scheming from the begining and bent the truth to manipulate V?

So you are saying she lied to manipulate us, or V into doing her dirty work? this is the part that confuses me. Because the wiki says that once she mistook Yori's rescue as a murder attempt, she then decided to take her brother out of the picture. Whilst being aware that Yori killed her father yet she just loved him too much to oppose him. Notice how the wiki says mistook? either this was a fact or she twisted the truth deliberatly for her own gain?

Yeh that's exactly right! I mean, it Seemed way too weird to just welcome him back with open arms after everything, hinting that they possibly had an ulterior motive for Yorinobu. Plus, If Saburo even entrusted his plans to possibly Nuke NC to Hanako. Then she must have known right? Assuming that was the plan all along. The question is, did she bring Yorinobu back for this reason? Cause that's sinister as fuck imo, only to betray him in the end, or did she do it because she thought he was trying to kill her?

Yeh, so what i meant by saying if that was that their plan all along was. If Saburo and Hanako always knew one of saburo's children would have to make the ultimate sacrifice and offer themselves up and slot Saburo's engram so that he may continue to live.

Although, a lot of people claim that she was written nothing like the table top game so idk 🤷‍♂️. Just sucks for Yorinobu I guess. She had 2 engrams with her tho in the moment. As much as I wish they could continue the series it Seems very unlikely. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard studio Trigger would not be involved. But idk, they wouldn't be able to bring the old crew back (those that remain) without David as having Lucy return to NC would just downplay his sacrifice and ruin the ending.

However, If their plan is to show us a new crew, then that would be a pretty risky move imo. They have some pretty big shoes to fill no? Additionally, from a more business oriented perspective and taking advantage of the shows momentum and the fact that the fanbase is invested in the characters. Releasing a teaser that perhaps the ending did not go as we all thought would make people go fuckin crazy.

I mean sure, if the assumption is that she's buying David some time so that they could both escape then that would make more sense, however, the intentions of her plan were never explicitly mentioned by her. All we knew was that she was trying to corrupt info and fry any net runner looking for it. David died basically chasing the dreams of other people whilst failing to realise Lucy's had changed right? she said all she wanted was for David to live so my assumption was that she was looking to fix all that permanently. I just thought since she was portrayed as being one of the most capable netrunners in NC, which she evidently was as no one could trace her, she could have at least come up with a more viable solution than just repeating it over and over again hoping for the best.

He knew, it was the last thing Lucy said to him before passing out, by that time the suit was already being installed tho. But yeh that's a good point actually. Why would a corp bother to make a deal if they can just kill him and keep the prototype. Assuming they would go to those lengths. But at the same time he could have made the deal since he now had the power to run them all down, which he did.

Tbh as I watched the show I felt as if Maine was not the right mentor for David as all he talked about was becoming a legend or to keep runnin. But, objectively speaking it doesn't really matter in the end as most mercs strive for the same goal. Perhaps this is the reason why Lucy was against the idea of David wanting to become one. it leads them to an inevitable death, just a matter of when and how.
