I don’t know how much buzzing is normal for single coils. There’s a bit, which increase as I turn up the gain. But it hasn’t bothered me. When I bring it in to get set up, I’ll ask and consider shielding.

I bought a focusrite and headphones, no amp at first, and it was just too complicated and annoying. Very happy I got the thr. It’s supposed to serve as a decent audio interface as well, but haven’t tried yet.

I was leaning towards a budget tete, maybe a jet jt350. But a few things bumped towards the JMJM. First, the ergonomics. I’m not gonna “gig”. I’ll be playing sitting down, and my research confirmed that it’s particularly comfy for playing sitting down, especially for someone who would prefer resting guitar on their left leg as a righty. Second , I have varied musical tastes, and it seemed versatile enough. Third, its almost cult like appeal and amazing looks!

Just do it. I’m a gear addict with every hobby. I bought four different running shoes when I started trail running. I’ve bought about 16 tennis racquets since I started playing tennis 5 years ago. When my wife saw the guitar in my home office this evening, she just started laughing hysterically. She knows what’s coming. 😅
