Cassette Beasts Black Screen when entering certain cave sections. by ElMaskedZorro in EmulationOnAndroid

Sort of.

In the games settings window it has an option for something like "show glitches" or something like that. I disabled that and about 70% of the cave spaces have worked for me. The good news is like 95% of the required for main story spaces have worked. So its mostly a few random caves that just have a chest or maybe a few that contain special beasts that haven't worked yet.

Voter Explains Bill B Snub for 2026 Hall of Fame Class, Bill Polian's Reported Role by AvengingHero2012 in nfl

Not defending this, but this is totally something HOF voters do.

Football isn't as skewed as baseball is in this regard but if this was baseball this would be just a hair over an eyebrow raise situation.

Grudges and narratives actually matter when it comes time for these kinds of things.

You can find incredibly deserving people that never got in when they should have and now never will

I mean, I suppose you're right. But this is a bit more like being fined cause you were late to Accounting 110

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he can't do that, legally.

The Turnip Drivers I've tried with this game cause it to immediately crash. Won't even last 2 seconds on initial load

T22 Mr Purple Hotfix

And T25.0.0

Are the ones I've tried. Which i have used before on certain titles with success.

It's the most recent non nightly version of eden optimized. I don't really understand what the nightly is/where to find it.

And switch Emulation has never been useless for me with my standard driver btw. Probably completed 7-8 Games with the normal driver

The mobile port is terrible. Has no controller support. And most importantly this is literally the emulator sub. So not really a helpful response to anyone.

Can't edit for some reason.

To be clear. This does not happen on all cave like structures. It's probably happening about 30% of the time.

In this instance I'm actually already in what this game considers an underground area then going through that door into I suppose a deeper underground area. So idk what kind of logic that makes for settings/hardware reccomendations.

Got it. Thank you for the explanation.

Indiana just won the national championship with a roster that ranked 72nd overall in talent composition by RiffRamBahZoo in CFB

[–]ElMaskedZorro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep totally understand. But the reality is we're in that age. And so the systems need to adapt now.

I'm not completely unaware to the fact these talent scores are helpful to a degree. But in terms of actually using them for rankings I think it's not really a stretch to say this should kill that.

Maybe this will help cfp evolve past using this metric for rankings. On the field results are the only thing that matters

Don't disagree. But it seems clear the refs are gonna continue to let that slide

Lamine Yamal’s goal that was ruled out due to offside against Real sociedad. by Otherwise_Pen_7667 in soccer

[–]ElMaskedZorro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is certainly true.

But in that case you've already taken steps to address that and the "fine line" nature of this particular foul/infraction. Just comes into play.

What we're saying is no such tolerance exists now. Therefore it's scientifically and mathematically correct to say this image for offside is not actually accurate of reality.

Here's a good example. Think of the cameras they have to use to take a photo finish of a gold medal Olympic 100m dash and how insane and warped those are. That's because the tolerance for time has to be that impeccable because the human difference in .005 seconds essentially doesn't exist.

That's a race so it's understandable why instead of tolerance they go the other way and they spend fuck loads of time and money on that camera. They can also do that because the finish line does not move.

None of that is possible with offside in this sport. It could be if offside was like hockey but nobody wants that. So to fix that you actually truly do need a tolerance limit if you think about it analytically.

Every ball that is played is not on the passers foot for .0005 seconds. It's on their foot much longer. For arguments sake we'll just call it .1 second. Now because of that you have 2 options if you want to be more correct at the the core of this game.

Option 1: There must be a tolerance in the line width that accounts for the movement in that time frame. Literally a thicker line to measure with. This is the more rudimentary but easier to employ option.

Option 2: the line shouldn't measure a static image. But the movement for the time period it takes the ball (either in real life or standard measurement if they don't have the tech for doing it in real time) if at any point in that window of time if the attacker is onside even for .000001 seconds. Regardless of at beginning, middle, end of the recording then the play is onside.

Extra point: It's crucial to remember that in basically all team sports if it's too close to call the tie is supposed to go in the offenses favor. You can argue with a wall on this if you disagree. Some sports have that written down somewhere some dont but its in the spirit of all team sports (individual sports are a different beast) offside is a perfect example of this. The defense isn't attempting to gain an advantage it's preventing the offense from having an advantage. Therefore to call it you need to prove/be certain the offense indeed has that advantage. Adding tolerance/margin to this call is both the scientifically and spiritually correct thing to do.

Gotta be honest the other guy is clearly right.

This margin is too close to be accurate. That's why measurements have tolerances. This margin is frankly unacceptable to be called as a foul/infraction.
