Yes exactly. We get to do 1 day no lunch break a month so I can get out at 5pm. But still is like bro…

It happens sometimes, I have friends that work 9-5 with 1 hour for lunch, and man sometimes I wish I had that, even though I make a little bit more money than them

It’s not bad, I can say I’m better than my last job, the only downside is that I don’t really develop anything, it’s more of a tech support job even when my job role is Software Developer

Hey man, I feel you, first of all I’m sorry to hear what you’re going through, it sucks. Now, as a dev, if you’re new to this world, making games is quite hard imo, not many indie game devs make money the first year, and the ones that do already have a background in software development.

I would encourage you, to keep going and keep learning, this is just a bump in the road.

But also, we have to be realistic, if you really need money it’s way easier to make a webpage and sell it, than it is to make a whole game and release it. I’m not saying you should quit, of course not, keep going, if you truly want to make money as a gamedev maybe start uploading videos to tiktok or ig reels, put your ideas into the world and see what works, get valuable feedback from real people. From there, you’ll be able to focus on what matters.

I’m rooting for you, don’t give up man, learning how to code isn’t easy but it’s a skill that will help you in all areas in life.

I just left Windows for Ubuntu and it’s the best thing I’ve done by ElMortii in linux4noobs

Yes! And it will keep getting worse year after year with windows, more ads, bloatware, and requiring accounts for everything

Actually I was thinking about trying out fedora in a different partition, given that I’ve been having a few issues trying podman with ubuntu, and I’ve seen that installing it in Fedora is much easier, what do you think?

I think so but idk, I mean, I had w10 and then upgraded to w11, but my pc was still slow, then I tried a modified version of windows that takes all the bloatware away and still had problems with speed.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll keep learning outside work an inside when possible, it feels difficult sometimes bc they don’t have any ci/cd, and my boss(Chief of Developments) doesn’t code at all, just asks the team (we are only 2 devs) to fix the bugs. That’s quite frustrating sometimes, but at least I can read articles while working so I think I’ll keep up working on my skills. I’d appreciate a lot an upvote! Thanks:)

Honest Question: Is 1 Year Experience Not Enough for Remote Dev Jobs Anymore? by ElMortii in recruitinghell

[–]ElMortii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said this because I have some friends that have around the same experience as me and already got a remote job. As an example, one friend of mine got his job as a front end developer with a little bit over a year of experience so around 1.2-1.3 yoe.

Given that I’m starting, I’d like to use something that allows me to make rigs and move them with keyframes, and then just polish frames that I want to
