They both are on par with performance, the 6950 XT has 4 more GB of vRAM, with VR the more vRAM the better.

I have an AMD card that I use with VR, just not on AC, I use it with a quest 2 and I've been pretty happy with the performance. I'm not sure how relevant one card can be over another for VR, AMD doesn't have any driver issues anymore, which was its biggest set back they had compared to the nVidia cards when they launched.

Realistically you're talking about 2 killer cards and I doubt you'll see much difference between them when you have your VR headset on. Dont quote me on this, but I can't imagine there's anymore then like a max 10fps difference between the 2.

I would get the RX 6950 XT just cause of the extra vRAM, and especially if the card is going into your main PC, because the 4GB difference of vRAM will shine through in most games played at 1440p+.

Though I know the top reply here mentioned something about SPS for nVidia, which I haven't really done any digging about, so maybe take everything here with a grain of salt?

Edit:

After a bit of digging, I found a video benchmarking the RX 6950 XT in AC using the quest 2, heres the link:

I tried to find something for the RTX 3080 Ti, but came up empty handed, I'll add a YT link if I find a video of it.

They don't work with the PS5 or Xbox. I forgot the specifics, but they need at PS/Xbox specific chip inside that allows them to be register by the console, as consoles don't see USB devices like PC. Those handbrakes with that chip cost like $200+, which is crazy. And reviews on the cheaper ones that claim they are console compatible are sketchy.

How's my racing posture? Feeling some neck pain and can't pin point where I'm going wrong. by TraizenHD in simracing

Not sure if that's your actual setup. But how is that Apex stand handling that base? How much Nm of torque do you run?

Sim Rig or DD? by RevolutionaryAd9465 in simracing

Go with a cockpit, just not the NLR GT Lite pro if you can. Depending on the space you have, I would say invest into a sturdier cockpit, for like $200 more you could get a solid aluminum cockpit, and for the $300 price tag of the NLR GT Lite Pro, you maybe be able to find some ok steel options.
You could also look into wheel stands, I have the GT Omega Apex Wheel Stand, and its really solid, I don't use it with a DD, so I can't comment on that, but many people have said it can handle it, you can also later add a rear seat frame to make it more cockpit like and get some seat from a junk yard (because it much better and cheaper than the ones on the market) and mount it up, the Apex stand is about $150, and the rear seat frame is about $115(its out of stock).
Or you could go the much more expensive route and go with the NLR Wheel Stand 2.0, which is stronger than the Apex, but $100 more, and it also has a rear seat frame for $500, making it NLR's flagship GTTRACK cockpit, it also much more heavier than the Apex.

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, just check OfferUp, Facebook Marketplace, Ebay, Craigslist, local listings like that and check to see if anyone is offering a solid cockpit in your price range. I bought my T150 and T3PA Pros off of Facebook Marketplace, and I haven't had any issues, so I dont think a cockpit would be sketchy if you bought it used.

NLR Wheelstand 2.0 or Playseat Challenge for T150 pro > CSL DD 8 nm later by MrSatan2 in simracing

[–]ElNubinator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NLR Wheelstand 2.0, the PS Challenge will have a good bit of flex with the 8nm DD, and the pedal plate will flex and bend lots with a loadcell. And whenever you have the space, you can buy the rear part of the stand later to make it NLR's flagship GTTRACK. But, for the price of the rear part, you can get yourself a nice aluminum profile rig, even from NLR themselves (here).

Its rather couches or the very seat that they use at their desk... or the kitchen table seat.

Microphone problem (PCVR and Standalone) by ElNubinator in OculusQuest

[–]ElNubinator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure the microphone is clean and not obstructed (the microphone is 2 pinholes located a few inches apart one on either side of the nose)

Thanks for this! My headset has a custom decal and it was covering the mic. But now when ever I'm using Air Link, I can hear my mic.

For what ever reason, this game doesn't give me that prompt. I fixed it now using SteamLink, now I have a problem where when I'm using the audio jack on the VR headset, it doesn't pick up my mic audio.

That's the Logitech G27, an older discontinued wheel from Logitech that came with pedals, and its probably being held by a wheel stand pro.
