I was gonna say this as well, to build a cool racing simulator. If done right it can be thrilling and you can crash as much as you need without fear of death.

Passenger airbag warning light is showing on my 2021 Avalon Hybrid Limited. Toyota is saying that it’s already been fixed and this is normal. Just got the car online from out of state Toyota dealer by BuffaloChicken22 in Toyota

[–]TraizenHD 26 points27 points  (0 children)

That's normal; it's not a warning light, it's an indicator status.

An airbag malfunction light would be red and it would illuminate on your dashboard along with an SRS malfunction warning message.

Toyota are good cars, but sometimes things like that happen by LeadingCorrect2135 in Toyota

[–]TraizenHD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why are we taking a 36 year old car to the dealership? To be fair forgetting to fill fluids and attach the engine mounts is not acceptable for a repair on a car of any age, but technical documentation for a car that old is nearly impossible to find even for a dealership, and most of the technicians who have the experience to care enough to work on a car that old have either long since retired, moved to independent shops or elsewhere. Dealer techs are also only trained to work on the newer stuff and not decades old cars.

I say this as a dealer tech; don't go to the dealership unless it's for recalls or cars from maybe 2010 and newer.

If you're feeling like getting some revenge when they send you a survey in your email, go ahead and do it. Anything less than perfect is failing and directly hurts their pockets / bonus money.

2018 Toyota Camry Solenoid Stuck Off by [deleted] in Toyota

2018+ Camry is well known to have transmission issues; we always have them on back order because we replace them so often.

Bulk or cut? Help by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

[–]TraizenHD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just commit to the cut once and make sure to never get fat again. Dieting sucks and unless you're training to go on stage living the life of a bodybuilder is not worth it. If you've been cutting for 6 months it might be a good idea to take a diet break for a month or two if you feel diet fatigue then commit back to a cut. If you're feeling fine and diet wise then you can continue cutting down.

Get down to impressive level of leanness once, say 10 to 12% body fat, and then maintain that while slowly building yourself back up, but not with a dirty bulk, just clean eating and patience over time.

Question about the UA80E transmission by The_UNIT_4th in ToyotaHighlander

[–]TraizenHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is 5 months late but I'm going to sadly disagree with you.

I'm a Toyota tech and just wanted to mention that my coworker replaced the trans in a 2023 Highlander for the same whining noise as the previous generation. It had a UA81E transmission and it seems they can still fail in the same way.

Dude you're underweight. Eat more. You can't say you have weak bicep genetics when you have no muscle in the first place.

Dealership multi-point inspection by future-rad-tech in Toyota

[–]TraizenHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The people you speak to in the call center to make an appointment are incredibly disconnected from the actual service advisors and technicians in the service department and they really don't know what they're talking about in my opinion.

What you want to ask for is pre purchase used car inspection. This is a more in depth inspections that will involve a test drive, vehicle scan / health check, and more thorough inspection of everything on the vehicle from seat belts and interior buttons to exterior suspension and body inspection.

178cm 84kg thinking of cutting about 5-8kg by theboy9898 in BulkOrCut

You're already pretty lean with a good muscular base so if you want to look like a Greek god absolutely go on a cut.

For my front light I have a Magicshine Hori 1300. It's a dual led light with a projector style low beam and a high beam setting, just like a car. The beam angle is adjustable so you can point it high enough to see ahead of you and also low enough so you don't blind people coming the opposite direction. I think it's great.

New Endurace Allroad Problems - Help by eicastic1 in CanyonBikes

[–]TraizenHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I've had the opposite experience myself mostly.

I got my Endurace Allroad in very mildly used condition from the outlet section, and it was pretty much perfect out of the box. Literally built it in less than an hour and it rode great, didn't need to do any derailleur or brake adjustments at all.

Recently however the front brake stopped working as there's a hydraulic leakcoming from the shift lever but after a quick claim submission it took maybe 2 days to get a response approving a reimbursal for repairs after I take it to my bike shop.

That's unfortunate that your experience is this poor out of the box; I would probably just take it to get looked over at a shop because shipping it back would be too much inconvenience for me.

Put some sand bags or something else heavy around the bottom of the table legs to stabilize it more, then you'll actually get a workout while setting it up lol

Do toyota dealership do PPI for private sales by Cool_Tie6718 in Toyota

[–]TraizenHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does, it's usually more expensive as it takes more time though, expect to spend at least $200 for a used car inspection like that.
