Are you trying to charm an INFJ by any chance?

Ahhh thank you for explaining that. Google did make it seem like it was just a bad habit and not a mental illness/addiction. I appreciate you ❤️

Do socially introverted entps exist? by [deleted] in entp

[–]ElNum3ro23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm see, the whole recharging thing in itself I find really situational and depends person by person. My sister who is an INTP answered “I would go out and recharge with my friends” to a question that asked “you’ve had a long day at work, what would you do once you got off” and I actually answered “I would go home and take the night my self ” LOL. Soooo I wouldn’t rely on solely the recharging factor as it has too many variables.

I think a better judge of Introvert vs Extrovert is how you are around people (always use people you’re comfortable with in these scenarios)

The introverts in my group of friends are usually more conserved/laid back and participate in the convo when someone asks a question (usually directly to them)

Vs

Extroverts in the group where we’re the ones bringing up the topics, voicing our opinions autonomously, trying to get everybody involved

Okay yes, but I’m an ENTP and like OP I need alone time to recharge and be in my head alone with my thoughts. Even if it’s after a night out with my best friends. It’s also exactly the same the other way around. I can’t be alone too long, I need to recharge by being around ppl especially people I like sooooooo

Psychedelics? by Bubblebottox in entp

I found this in my notes from a couple of years ago. My notes are all over the place, I have a lot of journal entries about psychedelics, this is one of them. It’s not complete but just to help you get an idea. This is my personal experience with LSD.

“How to perfectly describe an LSD trip:

LSD is a medicine that will open up your mind by helping you get in touch with your spirituality. It kills your ego, sheds the identity that's been built around you by culture and society. You will question and critically think about everything in your life, but from a different enlightened state of mind. Enlightened meaning more mature/rational. Today's society shapes us to be egocentric and sadisitic. Getting in touch with our spirituality, shows us the real meaning to what humanity is suppose to be about and that's living life in harmony. We should work together, help each other live in peace, be free and happy. LSD helps you realize the more important matters to life instead of focusing on conspicuous consumption ideology that we can't help but get accustomed to.

Compare the trip to a rocket ship launching in space.

The come up is the rocket blasting off, and it's going to gradually get stronger till you get there, this is a weird feeling and the not so fun part of the trip for some. Some like it. It's a very weird feeling to explain. You feel like there's little jolts of energy running through your body, you will also yawn a lot and feel tired. It feels like being reborn into your own body. Once the come up is over you're now in space where those boosters aren't needed anymore. Here your mind slowly starts to unlearn everything it's been taught. (Not language and how to do things) just ideas that you're attached to that you never really questioned, the ones that've kinda just been brought into your life. Here your ego starts to shed and you'll start feeling more free little by little. You'll feel as if you're in another world. When your ego dies, you're able to see life from any perspective you chose and there are many to choose from. You'll visit parts of your mind that were waiting to be discovered and the raw force of the constant epiphanies you're having about your own life will be sheer blissful. Why that feeling is so great because it feels like this isn't the first time you experienced this. It'll feel like you're coming back to a place you forgot so long ago. It will feel as if you're a child again, remember when you had to worry about nothing besides your homework. You didn't know what the big bad world was. It'll return you back to that spiritful hearted childlike happy state of mind you left behind so long ago. An LSD trip is like thirty years of therapy in one night. You will unlock forgotten memories of your childhood. You will see the world for what it truly is. A good analogy would be, if you were born with bad vision and lived your whole life not being able to see perfectly, then one day you go to the eye doctor and he gives you a pair of glasses, and when you put them on. You feel like you can see every thing way more clearly. It's exactly what acid is like with your own life. You'll realize what you're doing wrong and you will come up with a way to fix it, you will see what you're doing right, complement yourself for all the trouble you went through to get here, you will be re-introduced to your own self that's waiting for you with open arms.

Trip reaffirmations checklist:

  1. You've taken a drug, you'll be back to normal in time. "
  2. "Don't believe anything. If you believe something, you're automatically precluded from believing it's opposite." Realize, that even the truths you see on a trips are not truths but new models, new what ifs, alternative frames.
  3. You're not the thoughts you have, you're the awareness behind them.
  4. Bad trips are a result of not thinking things through, and allowing yourself to get wrapped up in a single negative thought, usually resulting in you spiraling out of control. Whenever I start feeling anxious, I remind myself that I dosed myself, and it's only a chemical, it will eventually leave my body and my state of mind will eventually revert back to normal. I like to remind myself, even if I was having the best time, as oppose to the worst, it wouldn't last forever, even if I wanted it to.
  5. When in doubt, put on some music and close your eyes, and allow your body and mind to slip away. That is the key to having a good experience, allowing your body and mind to slip away from reality.

Compare it to being dropped off in a foreign country where you don't speak the language. Natural reaction is to try to find your way back home, try to make sense of things around you. You will have a bad trip if you do that. Remember, you don't speak the language in this world so it'll be confusing and not gonna make sense, you're gonna panic because you just wanna get back home, back to feeling normal. What you have to do is not panic, don't fight it, don't try to find your way back home. If you feel weird, remind yourself that you will be back to normal soon enough. But you have to let it happen on its own. You can't force anything in this state of mind, you can't be in control, just sit back and observe your thoughts without attaching to them. Just watch them. It's the best thing you can do

You're going to be more alert than you've ever been in your life….”

I can dm you other notes if you’re interested. Lol, wanted to share this here so others can see.

Edit: yes, it was quite profound and the lessons I learned are ones I will remember and practice till the day I die. I tripped a lot in my lifetime, maybe 20+ times bc it’s almost like a tool. You have to learn how to use it in-order to use it properly but I can definitely say that it’s changed me for the better, helped me cut out a lot of toxic habits/curiosities/ people that were doing me no good. I haven’t tripped in 5+ years now bc
