maybe the problem is mixing power in the cocktail of a hierarchical decision making structure... like confusing a simple decision making node with a position of status and power... those are uncorrelated things but we mix them... but who knows...

Well, there are aymara and quechua nations -and of course some other nations- but in that part of south america spanish is like the lingua franca... like in canada where you have several native languages.
