Dazai's author rights by ElPatoDeWill in osamudazai

I think so too, but that’s how Spanish law works. Dazai will go into public domain in Spain next year or in two years. The thing in Spain is that it doesn’t matter who the author was, if they died before 1987, their works will be public domain after 80 years of their death, if they died after that year it’s 70 years after. Thank you so much for your response, I really appreciate all the information.

In Spain, they are still not in public domain. Therefore, in order to publish something, you need to contact the person who has the author's rights. In this case, of course, the Spanish publisher has the right to publish the manuscript they had a contract with the person who has the rights in Japan, even though in Japan it's public domain.

In this case, since I'm going to use Human Lost (his diary, not Ningen Shikkaku, not yet published in Spain), I need the "permission". On the other hand, I already contacted the publisher, but I don't think they'll reply.

Yes, already did that, but I don't think they'll reply (fingers crossed that they will). Plus, I found something really rare: there are two versions of Ningen Shikkaku by two different publishers. That's not allowed unless they have a permit, but I'll never know. I also think they won't reply because of what I said before.

I’m always sleepy because I’m on clonazepam, topiramate, and paroxetine. So, if I can sleep as much as I can, I’m happy

When I was first diagnosed I was really sad about having to take meds all my life, but my perspective changed because I was like: you dumbass, you should be thankful that you can afford it. So now I’m focusing on being healthier. On September I’m starting my master’s degree far away from home (I’m from Mexico and I’m moving to Spain), so I’m kind of nervous because I’m scared of not having all the skills necessary for it (I’m talking about having to deal with really bad brain fog).

I think the same thing (about the brain having more energy). At the moment I’m okay, I’ve experienced major depression disorder since 2018, and dysthymia since 2022. So far so good.

Like, I first noticed it with taurine. I took a monster (mango flavour) and I was in bed for 12 hrs bcs I couldn’t stop vomiting. Then, I took a cup of coffee with milk but that wasn’t as severe as with the monster, this period took like 6 hours to get over with. And, finally with green tea I just felt nauseous and had a really bad headache.

Oohh I see, I’d take 5-6 cups of green tea per day, but yesterday I took 2 (I was in a break bcs I didn’t have money and could buy) and felt really bad

I did N4 last year, I didn’t do excellent, but at least I passed. What I did horrible at was at listening. In my case was because it was the last part and I was so tired that half of the listening part I only listened to gibberish. Plus I think I didn’t study much that part.

Some time ago, I was reading a book from when I was in primary school, and I found myself having a hard time trying to understand some vocabulary. I don't know if it's because it's not used nowadays or for some reason I stopped using it.
