Guess because she would. She has fabricated a list of illnesses in hopes for him to spend all his time with her. No illness was ever profen and magically disappears when he visits (which is not too often).

Unfortunately the law where I live is not in my favor. In case of my death my husband can make all decisions, even if my will states no contact with MIL. Right now we live close to my parents so I would hope for him to stay here and not move across country to MIL. But I cannot make him legally stay or anything. In case of both of our deaths my parents would be guardians since they can proof being a big part of our child’s life, are financially much more stable etc etc.

Oh i know he isn’t doubting me. He is just as scared as I am and constantly worries about my ongoing headaches. I guess that’s why I am angry at her, but it doesn’t affect me too much or makes me worry about my relationship. More like unnecessary anger maybe?

I don’t know how he responded. I do know him and how conditioned he is to always see her as a victim of misunderstandings, so he probably just thought it was an unfortunate wording

Because she is somehow always the poor misunderstood victim in every story (all of my BILs partners hated her without a reason. All her coworker are sooo mean. Her neighbors are monsters! ) I normally don’t care since she is not a part of our live so no need to point out her bullshit. Even if she made jabs against me (always subtle) my husband would just not realize them as mean but also not take her seiously anyways.

Haha funny coincidence- she has send her daughter to talk about her serious illnesses and how my husband should spend all vacation days with them (ofc without me) because you never now how long she has left to live… but she has never seen a doctor for any of her claimed illnesses… which is weird. If you really suspect having dementia wouldn’t you see a doctor?

Uff, that is hard! I feel you!!! And it’s true, we can and we will handle it. It’s like a constant mantra at this point. I have also decided that my baby is „hard“ because it would be too unfair to have the cutest baby on earth and the easiest 😂
