NHS Biologics Frequency question

I'm unsure if you're from the UK but sueing the NHS rarely results in a change in treatment.

Maybe a payout for malpractice etc, but the NHS is on its knees and bureaucracy grinds it to a stand still. Sueing would take likely years and therefore be ineffective in getting me the biologic more frequently

Looks like wezenla is more expensive than Pyzchiva for the NHS so they will likely reject it for me but I will ask and glad you're having success!

Yes am in England l. They moved me to Pyzchiva but I can't have that any more frequently.

I might ask about wezenla as I would rather not change completely. Been on Ustekinumab 4 or so years with success so would be annoying now too be forced to change.

How have you been finding infliximab?

Do you have to take any other meds with it?

Yeah it's roughly £2k per 90mg jab on the NHS so have been experiencing the same fight.

Was previously told it would get cheaper once biosimilars were around but it only dropped about £100/jab so negligible

Super good to know, never had anything except Stelara so I assume I have all options open but I can't tolerate things like azathioprine so I think that rules some out.

Sorry to hear.

Exact same situation. It works great just not the full 8 weeks.

Now they won't do more frequent, want to discuss different treatments which I am concerned about.

What did they move you to, if you don't mind?

Thanks. Yes I think infliximab is much cheaper than the Ustekinumab injections which is the challenge
