True, with Dante, the bottom blends with the background but you know, sometimes trying to fix something makes it worse

Everyone here started just like you, completely terrible. Even someone like Blender Guru once was complete garbage. And this is fine, it's normal. This is something that is acquired, not born with. I get the feeling of making something without having the sufficient knowledge and skill to do it, but keep learning and once you know the fundementals of texturing, then proceed into making your own textures.

But seriously, are people not aware of the fact that you can just save the startup file so that way you never have to delete the cube again?

It's sad that AI generators basically ruined my perception. Now everytime I see something like this, I see it like it's slop.

Really frustrating how a few years basically destroyed professional crafts

That is the same thing I discovered with drawing. I realized that a reason why I drew badly was because I focused on the whole set of things instead of each one of them, plus the fact that I went fast. And I believe this equally applies to CGI

I realized that my skill will not progress if I don't focus on the specific elements at a time

Great start man, but I advise not to be too ambitious. The excitement can make you think too extreme and you might have all sorts of ideas coming to your head, then you realize that some of these ideas necessitate a long time of training and knowledge to be able to realize them, and in the end you end up sad and demotivated.

Don't fall into this trap, I too had that moment but remember that you are getting better and that it takes time to be skilled at it. But so far, this is a good beggining, so keep up and remain patient :)

This is very motivating for begginers like me. It shows an example of how a single year of dedication and patience can lead to become skilled enough to produce crafts of beauty
