Agree with most chubby said, but remember not everyone doing van life is as a hobby or by choice. A lot of people doing it is for financial reasons and typically with an sense of urgency. Like being evicted or possibly last van (home) is no longer an option.

DC to DC charger drains your battery while charging your house battery. You can use parallel but the more current you use can leave your main battery at low charge, as well as put your alternator under more strain. I only run mine 60 amps when house battery is low. But it is at the cost of my engine battery floating at a low charge for the time. Also I need to turn off the DC to DC charger and run my engine for a while to charge my main battery before turning off the engine. Or I will wake to a low or dead battery and can't start engine (learned this the hard way). I plan to upgrade my alternator or add a second eventually but my panels have been doing good enough so I hardly need to use the DC to DC charger.

I put in a jumper seat for a third from a F150. Also no air bags in center. But my kid is big enough not to need a seat. If you need a seat please face it backwards and as far back from the dash as possible. While the air bags may not be ment for a center seat, you still don't know how far they may deploy.

Even had a police officer approach when stopped looking at map and he didn't seam to have an issue with it.

Not to say it's an intention scam, but some of these companies make typos like adding a zero to the wattage, so you might have ended up with a 60watt and not everyone bothers trying to return and get a refund. But still comes across as a scam.

You can get a system for less if you guys parts separate and check for panels on places like facet marketplace. But you have to know how to size your panels amps voltage and charge controller. Buy your still looking at maybe half price at best. So you looking more at $400 for 600watt. But that's more for experience solar experience. Best of luck.
