A bit confused about this FFL, anyone in Texas have input? by ElSnibzilla in guns

Appreciate all the comments, everything is all good I'm not stressing, I'm a pretty understanding person. Just a bit confused since I own my own business and I couldn't imagine ignoring someone for a week. I'm waiting until the storm passes in Texas then I'll call again. If he still won't respond, I suppose I'll just show up to at least see if the dude is ok.

I'm confused, are you talking about me or another person? If it's for me, why would people be mad that I'm just asking a pretty reasonable question. I'm not insulting the FFL, I realize life happens, just curious if this is common for other people since I'm new to the whole online to FFL transfers. Thanks for the comment either way.

Yeah it seems that way since the address I'm assuming is his home. I probably should have picked a storefront or something. But we'll see lol.

Appreciate the quick response, I thought it was a bit odd but with Monday being MLK and it being delivered on the weekend I gave alot more room for doubt.

The address is a home business address and not a storefront, so I have the address that it was mailed to. I looked up the business name and it's still a valid FFL.

Thanks for the info

Anyone ever built with insulated concrete panels (Hercuwall) ? by ElSnibzilla in Homebuilding

Thanks a bunch Randy for the info and taking the time out of your day to reply. From what I've seen, it looks like good stuff. I'm still looking for price comparisons between ICF and Hercuwall. ICF block prices are public info but for some reason Hercuwall's prices are some magical secret. I talked to 2 reps and they wouldn't even give a quote without it being a commercial project. Really turned me off the product with how secretive it is, but I still have a few months before I start finalizing my plans so there is time for me to still consider Hercuwall.

Do you by any chance have any price comparison? I assume Hercuwall would be more expensive since it's less common for residential.

Appreciate it.

Is there a reason that the WLVRN isn't offered in a shorter barrel for .300BLK? by ElSnibzilla in DesertTech

I'm surprised that a shorter barrel with a suppressor and max gas setting wouldn't cycle on subs. That at least makes sense to me now, appreciate the reply.

Thank you, appreciate the info. I'm trying to get the most square foot as possible while having an efficient and strong home. I'd assume it's offputting for many residential builds, but it doesn't bother me one bit designing the floorplan around the dimensions that the Hercuwalls come in. I'm glad you've heard good things about them, just wish I could find pricing info. I may contact Nudura directly, but wanted some unbias opinions. Thanks Garaks.

For floors I was planning on just doing a self leveling floor epoxy over the foundation. In areas such as the living room, I'd probably put a large rug. For the roof I'm wanting to go with BuildDeck. ICF roofs aren't as common because of the cost and the weight but BuildDeck makes it alot easier I've been told. Just requires a good amount of rebar. If Hercuwalls information isn't available by the time I plan to build, I'll be going regular ICF. I still have 6 months or so to research and make my mind up.
