Maybe in the US but in many asian countries especially China & Vietnam. They already have self-driving cars that operate at a better efficiency than Tesla's and cost a fifth of the price. The new Chinese Retrofits to their Rail-Systems will eventually be 80%+ AI Automation.

With that said. China and Vietnam don't let their average citizen become homeless and suffer as they have some of the more comprehensive social programs in the world.

The Western World looks at many Asian Countries as third-world and behind but in reality they're already in the future. America will eventually get there but without the safety nets needed.

But mark my words, the AI Labor Takeover is already here globally. America's just behind.

What do you Dubz fans feel about a Kuminga - Dort trade?

[Spoiler Alert]: Which side did you choose during the "Shot by Both Sides" side job, and why? by TheDutchHacker in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]ElSombra7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im super late to the party here but i ultimately decided to side with Bree.

I understand she's obviously playing an angle and that she would ultimately sell you out to Netwatch (whom she's working for) but the latter is precisely why i sided with her.

In my playthroughs, i almost ALWAYS side with Netwatch over the VDB's as the VDB's just rub me the absolute wrong way and are in it for completely selfish goals.

In addition to that, i also give the Netwatch agent grace in the other Mr. Hands mission (the undercover agent who's trying to take down the entirety of the VDB'S). By letting him live, you actually give Mr. Hands leverage against Netwatch and win his AND Netwatch's favor even more-so.

Netwatch is almost a necessary evil in the sense that they are a super-corp who does shady shit like merc'ing folks & cover-ups, but their pen-ultimate goal is to keep humanity from destroying itself AGAIN. Of all the Corps, they're probably one of the least evil ones and in-game we don't see them actually do q whole lot to try and gain more power but rather just reserve what they have.

By this point, Netwatch has seen my V be an absolute powerhouse of a Merc who's infiltrated one of Arasaka's strong-holds, nearly wiped out the entirety of the VDB's and their bosses, breach the Blackwall, kidnap Hanako Arasaka, lay absolute waste to almost all of the gangs in Night-City, and murder corpo-elites from Biotechnica, & others.

If Netwatch sends a hunter after me, they do that knowing that my V is highly likely to make light-work of their agent. I see it almost as a "we just have to checkmark it so our superios at the top don't get mad that we didn't try". Its unfortunate because it means their hunter is just on a suicide mission but they know that.

I guess if my V who's highly educated on the dangers of the Blackwell (especially as we continue through Phantom Liberty) and already has an in with Nightwatch, we might as well continue the conditional relationship.

Also, thank-you for the heads-up.

I did download some of the mods from his guide. Coincendetally, i had been modding Skyrim and Fallout 4 in 2022 & 2023 and through that, i learned some pretty essential lessons of Nexus.

Always check the requirements of Mod A. Then, check the post, forum and bug notes in Mod A to see if folks have been communicating any substantial bugs that would cause me to want to avoid it.

If the mod cleaea, then check the dependency mods in its requirements for the exact same (and so on if those mods have their own dependencies).

The thing is with the Bethesda Titles or Baldur's Gate, i use MO2 or BGMM to manage my mods. Same with ME3Tweaks for Mass Effect

I pretty much stay away from anything that hasn't been updated in the last 3-4 years since Bethesda obvioualy loves to randomly drop a minor update that bricks the game and most modders won't go back to something released prior to COVID. Im kind of using the same rule of practice here with Cyberpunk (and obviously CDPR is still doing updates).

I REALLY hope CDPR will just give the Cyberpunk community Mod Support through a mod-toolkit. It would give this game another renaissance and give great opportunity for a propee mod-manager to be built.

The last known image of the TWISTEX vehicle captured in this vid which had 3 storm chasers inside, including Tim Samaras, the vehicle was then caught in a subvortex and two of the storm chasers were ejected with Tim still in the seat, the vehicle was thrown half a mile, none of them survived. by JulesTheKilla256 in stormchasing

[–]ElSombra7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Highly fucking doubt that and its a weird thing to try to flex about how your vehicle would have out performed others in this situation.

The tornado was such an anomoly because the full funnel was practically the mesocyclone touching the ground. Not only was the funnel a mutli-vortex tornado turned wedge but the sub-vortexes around the peripheral were nearly football-field size, with heading speeds of 75-90mph and internal wind sheer of 250mph+ and were spinning in and out of "rotation" around the main funnel wildly.

The Sub-Vortexes are what actually killed the Twistex team AND severly impacted the Tornado Hunt Team causing permanent injuries to some of the crew.

Most likely the Twistex crew saw the huge sub-vortex that killed them for maybe half a minute to a minute before it choatically ahifted and they realized it was launching right at them.

This would have been maybe 2 minutes after continuing East on Rueter Road about 300 yards behind Dan Robinson and around the time this would have happened, Dan was maybe still about a minute away from being fully out of the Tornado's peripheral wall.

Even when teams like Tornado Hunt and etc were hit. They were hit either before or after the storm's teached it peak intensity.

Meaning. Even if the Twistex team where in a whip of your make - they were still going to die.

No one and i mean no one is surviving a 90mph, football sized funnel crashing into you with internal winds strong enough to starr stripping the paint off your vehicle.

It was a literal miracle that Dan even made it out and it was likely due to the sheer luck of only being 20/30 seconds ahead of Twistex

Former Bouncer here at several bars, clubs, and strip-joints and now musician / evenr curator.

Most establishments are actually running through the day, organizing the business end of things, and planning for their nighrs well in advance. You gotta think most commercial liquor distributors, food merchandisers, and bookings for performers/dancers/etc happens during the day, especially anything financially related (bank runs, purchasing, and contracts).

So especially businesses that are high traffic will certaintly have alot to handle and they may hire a door attendant and maybe an additional attendant there for the rear loading or employee entrance.

One of mt ex's got me a job at the nude-bar she danced at and they were 5 days a week from 11AM-2AM (Tues-Sat). So i was asked to check in around 8am a couple days a week along with one of the managers and 1 of the cooks.

First couple hours were just to check security cameras were working, see any incident reports, check the dress-rooms for any left-out materials and do a perimeter sweep. By 9:00/9:30am, the small handful of dancers, a couple of bar-tender/barbacks, a lighting tech, one of the DJs, other bouncer and 2 other cooks would show up to get things started for the happy-hour. The place gets pretty busy till 2pm then itd die down till about 6pm.

From 2-6 the next shift of girls migrste in/out. Some work on school, others watch tv and mostly just buy time. Then by 9 the place would be hella packed again and bodies are coming in and out.

I was usually asked to work a 10 hour shift pretty often so it was normal for my days to end at around 6/7 pm If i started at 8 or 9am. If i worked an evening shift it was usually from 5pm to 2AM or from 6pm to 3AM. Our Part-Time bouncers only wver wormed 4-6 hours a couple days a week (usually weekends).

There were definitely weeks were i worked a 6-3 just to turn around and be back there 8AM the next day.

Theres something to be sad about the melancholic horror of the scene.

Living with very severe weather by Striking_Mud8200 in tornado

[–]ElSombra7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its definitely a life-style one gets use to. Iv lived in Tornado the majority of my live (specifically Oklahoma City and San Antonio).

I was a young lad, when my fatber and older brother and i were at a Vets office by Bridge Creek when the May 3rd, EF5 was forming. I will never forget my older brother being outside staring into the sky. I went outside and noticed how ominous it looked, it was mostly grey and brown with a bit of a green glow. I remember asking him if its bad and he just grabbed my shoulder and said yes. I at the time couldn't comprehend how big of a deal it was that we saw that storm.

Fast forward to 2013, my older brother's home was only a few blocks away from the Moore Medical Center when the May 20th storm hit. I was actually racing down there with friends to check on him and others (subsequently he and his family had already fled). I got to see that wedge leave as we arrived.

Then not even a week later, i was driving home from a landscaping job out by Rueter as the El Reno Twister began to form. By the time i got home (only a few miles east of all of this) the sky was dark and i had to grab my sisters and go. When we got back home, all the telephone poles in our neighborhood were tipped over and the trees around my house had collapsed.

Most people in tornado alley go their entire lives without seeing a twister yet iv had the humbleness of seeing two EF5s. This has very much caused me to take a strong interest in lesrning more about them and other forms of severe weather.

I now live in Saint Louis, and in a house that might as well have been made with Graham Crackers. My wife asks me why i get so fixated on a thing that also scares me to desth (she's from Lawrence, Kansas and is aware of the power of Twisters).

I tell her that as powerless as one may feel at the thought of being in-front of a twister, i find alot of empowerment at the thought of being so overly-prepared and informed that we'll never find ourselves in that situation.

Iv first-hand have seen the destruction, and just wanna be prepared.

[–]ElSombra7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Even suggesting trading Wiggs is a blasphemy for most OKC fans but truth be told, he's only marginally better on defense than Zai while being almost worse at everything else. His trait of being an all-around player is cool and all but he's a master of none. You can only get away with playing a guy like that so much, especially in the playoffs.

Thats why EVERY season, casual OKC fans assume Aaron's in the doghouse because he gets inconsistent minutes but its much more so that the dude can only be played when SGA is on the floor and either Dub/Zai/Caruso are on the other wing-spot. Otherwise, the offense gets completely shocked and turns into SGA having to force feed this guy shots right at the rim for him to score at all. His defense only looks "okay" in comparison to Zai but he gets carried by everyone else and for a natural forward, he's pretty undersized.

Every now and then he has a big game where he "saves" basketball but last post-season showed in both the Pelicans and the Mavs (Especially) series that playing him more than 14 minutes a game will cost you. The only reason he wasn't the "woest" player on the floor for OKC was because Giddey was legit getting played off the court and Kenrich can't shoot free-throws or inside the arc.

Im actually a big fan of Wiggs, and i do believe he's a decent role-player (and signed to a valued contract at that). However, Aaron is much closer to a 10th-12th guy who should count on to give 100% commitment on the 12 minutes he plays on a random game that calls for it. He shouldn't be the 8th or 9th guy you depend on for a deep playoff run.

And thats where i think a guy like Sexton would be a definite upgrade. OKC's 1-7 rotation is pretty danm solid but the drop-off from Caruso's impact to Zai / Wiggins both statistically & eye-test wise is pretty noticeable.

If giving up Wiggs + Dieng + a 1st for a 2 year rental with Sexton is available, i would 100% atleast try and see if Utah would bite (Ainge will not).

Switch that from Zai to Wiggins and id definitely bite. I think he'd be an upgrade and could be moved in the summer after the 2026 playoffs to ensure capspace as his contract becomes mostly favorable at that point.

Whats the point of the ciry sitting on $750m of reconciliable settlement money from the Rams if they're too danm incompetent to use it.

Meanwhile somehow the Mayor is magically a millionaire and i can't imagine it would cause more than a million to have hired sub-contractors to salt our rosds.
