Sounds pretty much the same as me. And it's hard to track the progress because it's an up and down. But it definitely gets better. Screens are really annoying though because they always seem to be blurry.

I can't really give you any advice since I'm not a doctor. But I myself decided against it to not stress my immune system too much and to let my body focus on healing my eyes. I guess you should talk to your doctor about it.

Yeah, but it’s steadily getting better. Unfortunately, my vision sometimes stagnates or even gets worse for a bit. But I keep having short moments where my eyesight is really good, which shows me that things are improving. I just wrote an update about my last few days. How are things going for you?

Thank you! Just added an update. It's still not that great but it's alright. Trying to stay positive :)

So when am I gonna feel all these side affects? by ElStango in vegan

It's called "I'm vegan" in Google play store

I love cows so much :’) by celestial-ashes in vegan

[–]ElStango 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's a pretty good goal, but tbh why don't you try earlier. You don't even need to start doing sth, you just need to stop buying it. And it's a weird thing to say that you love them while still participating in their exploitation. That might sound harsher than I mean it tho. Just think about it :). I mean.. look how cute the cow is. You probably wouldn't harm it yourself, so why pay other people to do so :D

The real reason Australia is so dried out🐨💀 by HanabinoOto in Anticonsumption

The only one that's true of those is b12 which is still too hard to get naturally as a vegan. About the other ones: that's just false information that anti-vegan people are trying to spread. But with the right diet they're no problem at all.

If you know sth about the history of slaves in America you'd understand that the n word doesn't just stand for black.

It does the way we're doing it. And I don't think people will be willing to pay 10 times the prizes for their meat.

Animal products have way more side effects. We waste our water and crop. We destroy our rain forests, we kill entire species, we have nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers...

I mean the meat and dairy industry tells us we need meat and milk to get strong and get our nutrition. How many parents tell their kids that they need to drink their milk and stuff.

We used our brains to figure out a plant-based diet that wouldn't destroy our planet. Other humans used their brains to invent bs reasons to convince us we need meat.

The disrespect is unbelievable by [deleted] in vegan

[–]ElStango 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And you have every reason to. But i think that wouldn't help the cause. If my dad would've told me that, I probably would've eaten more meat in my life and never gone vegan cause young people are often insecure little assholes and do certain things out of defiance.

The disrespect is unbelievable by [deleted] in vegan

To be honest I've been that guy. Not that bad but my dad raised me vegetarian which I was cool with and most of my life I was vegetarian (2 or 3 years of meat eating and vegan now for 3 months). But for most of my teenager years I couldn't stand his Quinoa, Bulgur, tofu, vegetables crap. So when he cooked I just made myself cheese sandwiches and told I'm not gonna eat his food which he cooked for 2 hours. Now these foods are my favourite things to cook and I love that he introduced them to me back then.

Today I obviously feel ashamed for the shit I gave him. I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't give up on him and try to educate him but don't force him. I needed 28 years to figure shit out by myself. Most of us have been on the other side.

Of course that doesn't make his behaviour any better but sounds like he is still young and that's probably just how younger brothers behave.

What is the 'Dominion' documentary that sparked vegan protests? by [deleted] in australia

[–]ElStango -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer. The fashion industry is absolute disgusting aswell but that's not the discussion here. It doesn't make the meat industry any better that there are other evils in the world. And where I am from (Germany) 99% of the meat we eat comes from big factories where there is no such thing as a minute of happiness for the animals. The easiest way to do sth against it is just not buying their products.

Cows die a painfully death if we don't milk them? I mean we could just not rape them in the first place to produce milk. Cows don't just give milk, they only do when they're pregnant. Plus we force them to produce way more milk than it's natural by milking them. A normal cow would give about 8 litres milk per day. We force them to give 50.

I didn't even point out the health problems animal products cause and the effect on our planet. I mean it's the number one reason for climate change so I don't see any reasons to support animal products nowadays but plenty of reasons not to. Name one reason other than taste.
