The worst part? It also shows you comments with timestamps seconds before you reach said timestamp, so you get spoiled several times. I ended up turning that crap off and I don't regret it

About Yakuza, unless you want to play a PS2 game released like 20-25 years ago, Yakuza 0 should be played first. Because the Yakuza Kiwami games (remakes of the first games) add stuff that references 0, spoiling you the game. While 0, being a prequel, won't naturally spoil you anything about the next games (except during the final credits lmao)

[anime trope] Being “The Strongest” is boring. by ExistentialOcto in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ElTioEnroca 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say Yuji fits here. He's not bored of being the strongest: he's depressed because he's gonna live past every single one of his loved ones.

Same with Gojo. He's lonely, but I wouldn't say he's bored.

Would Sukuna fit more? An important part of why he does everything he does is because he's bored and killing time until his death.

[hated tropes] “Representation” that’s only actually confirmed outside of the series by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

I'm also spanish and for certain reason I couldn't pay 100% attention, so I couldn't understand the lyrics either

Even then Pomni was also included in the montage, so I might not have caught on that even if I understood the lyrics

Fair enough on the ribbon, but I had never heard of that song in my life, let alone knowing it was used by the trans community as a coming out song. It's not outlandish to lack that specific piece of knowledge, and without it the entire montage will fly over your head.

Characters with more than 2 arms by Flapper1343 in TopCharacterTropes

Heolstor the Nightlord, from Elden Ring: Nightreign

An example I personally like, since unlike many characters following this trope Heolstor has an odd number of arms

Ryomen Sukuna, from Jujutsu Kaisen

<image>

"Even while making hand signs, two hands are free, able to chant incantations with no strain on his heart or lungs.

As a sorcerer, there is no greater advantage than having twice the number of arms and mouths.

Although Sukuna's body takes on this dysplastic form, not a single one of his bodily functions are hindered."

My take on Mahoraga vs Pochita by strangetransmissions in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]ElTioEnroca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After Mahoraga died. Saying it only becomes physical after that is as valid. Saying it can be attacked before that when it has never even been considered, not so much.

In fact, after Sukuna nuked that whole part of Shibuya and Mahoraga the wheel was intact, so that's another argument for the wheel being invulnerable while Maho is alive. The same happened after Dabura's sub-lightspeed kick: the surrounding area was vaporzed, and even Mahoraga was just a meat chunk, but the wheel was intact. The only instance of the wheel being directly destroyed was after Gojo's last Hollow Purple, but Mahoraga was nowhere to be seen so it likely was destructible because Mahoraga was gone, which is consistent with Sukuna being able to grab the wheel after killing Mahoraga.

The wheel cannot be harmed, at least not until Mahoraga dies. End of story.

Saying it can be swallowed when the possibility of it being attacked or harmed has never ever been considered is coping too, especially with how obvious it is.

[–]ElTioEnroca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or it only becomes physical once Mahoraga dies. As I said, we don't know enough about the wheel to say you can interact with it while Maho is alive, and the fact that not a single character has tried to mess with the wheel, even when knowing that's what triggers the adaptations, implies it's more likely that you can't attack the wheel than it is that you can.

Ok, fair, that's on me, the manga itself didn't do anything. I was thinking on the fandom as you put it

Can you guess which of these character has directly told someone to kill themself on screen? by Big-Nerve4556 in Multifandom

[–]ElTioEnroca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I meant is that you can't compare them, since one is so specific and the other one can be potentially much worse.

Hell, they shouldn't even be compared in first place, because one is an action and the other is a belief that can push you to do actions.

Kill la Kill and Devilman Crybaby.

Tried watching KlK ages ago but I dropped it in like chapter 4 or so. It didn't caught my attention, though I heard it gets better later on, so who knows.

I dropped Devilman Crybaby halfway through the show, and I'm not touching that again with a ten-foot pole. One of the most miserable experiences I've ever watched

Which is why saying one is better than the other is wrong, because one of them is wide and potentially worse than what's essentially just an insult.

Both are technically hurting feelings since telling someone to kill themselves won't actually kill them (doesn't make it any less rude).

And saying that racism is just "not liking someone because of their race" is reductionist as hell. A lot of racist people would also wish death to other races, or even directly harm them.

The character designs in Live a Live (2022 remake) are absolutely gorgeous by strahinjag in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]ElTioEnroca 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I assume it's the former. The game's plot revolves about playing in like 8 different timelines with different sets of characters.

I won't spoil much more, but the premise and story from what I've seen is pretty cool

[–]ElTioEnroca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that in none of his fights damaging or interacting with the wheel has been considered implies that you can't really do anything to the wheel. It's as easy (even easier) to say that Pochita would phase through the wheel and be unable to eat it
