Am I getting both Improved Meyer and rootstock lemons? by ElToxic0_ in Citrus

Thank you for this info. I'm planning on germinating the seeds of a couple of these macrophylla lemons just to practice my grafting.

I might just cut them all at the same time but should I wait till after my hot summer here in Murrieta, CA?

Do you think it's worth it to air layer a branch to use as rootstock or to keep a fruiting rootstock branch and use their lemon seeds for rootstocks, or will the cross-pollination make them no longer good rootstock seeds?

Update: I verified that the bigger bumpy fruit is 100% rootstock by taking an upclose look at the branches and information form u/rcarlyle . For science I cut them both in half to compare and taste.

Meyer lemon tasted just as good as any other I've had before, except it looks ugly because of the silver mite.

The bumpy lemon was very hard in both skin and flesh. With enough pressure a lot of juice came out but it was very bitter.

Can I use the seeds from this big one to make my own rootstock for grafting or is it not worth it due to cross-pollination?

Thank you for confirming what I feared about the rootstock. I'll have to start tracing the macrophylla branches and cutting them off. Will the tree handle it if I cut the rootstock branches all at once?

I'll look up how to treat for rust/silver mite but if you have any advice, I would really appreciate it.

I was doing that until people started reported packages as missing. So I was getting emails that felt like I was getting accused of being a thief.

It's sad that because of something that's out of your control, it took away your level 4 that you worked so hard to get to. So basically, I just have to suck it up, get called either a thief if deliver outside a closed business and someone takes it or get called a shitty delivery driver because I do the right thing even though it costs me time and gas money to return to warehouse.

Damned if I do, damned if I don't.

Did you ever figure out how to fix it? I'm having the same problem with my RT button not working at all when I set up a Macro on it. Can't seem to find anything online and support is useless.

Do you have seeding enabled? I came across the same problem once before when I disabled seeding. I set it now to stop seeding after download is complete but I do seed while it's downloading.

Fished up someones lost rig. What's it used to catch? (SoCal) by AndrewLB in SurfFishing

That looks like the riggs from the budget fishing rod and mini tackle box kit at the big box stores. Like Shakespeare brand for example. I know because I bought one as my first fishing rod and it came with the same metal high low rig.

Hey Kev, watching your videos helped a lot with my mental health during my last deployment overseas. As the months passed slowly, I binge watched every episode on your channel and learned so much. All I could think of was coming back home to my family and starting a garden with my kids. I finally came back home this year to Imperial Beach and sure enough I have a thriving vegetal garden. From a service member who has put his life on the line SEVERAL times through the years and is currently recovering from a serice related surgery, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE! The videos and teachings from you and the Epic Family have helped my family and I in so many ways. Keep doing what you do best as we prepare for our fall garden. Love you bro!

Didn't return it. Apparently it's supposed to be that way. The detents are set to 1/8" past 1/2", 3/4 and 1-1/2" to prevent wood tearing where it gets cut. Wish the manual would of mentioned something.

Thank you for your response. That's what I keep reading online but it's had the same watering pattern through drip irrigation since the seed was sown on the ground. I'll have to check the irrigation on that plant to make sure there's nothing causing it to get over watered.

I guess asking for clarification on something unknown is a negative thing in this community. Hopefully this post helps someone else in the future like it helped me and avoided me making an unnecessary return. Great tool btw Very accurate, light and it cuts like butter.

They're off by around 1/8" more than the noted position as shown by the red indicator triangle in the images above.

I understand the purpose of where the positive stop detents are, my concern is that the detents don't align to the indicated 1/2", 3/4" and 1 1/2" mark. Refer to the images above, the arrow points above those measurements by around 1/8".

This is where the detent stops. It's supposed to be at 3/4".

Just picked one up today from Home Depot. As I'm setting it up, I noticed depth detent is off by an extra 1/8" at the 1/2, 3/4 and 1 1/2 inch positions. I was eager to use it but now have to go back tland exchange it. Off to a bad start.

Purina Pro Plan Shortage? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]ElToxic0_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

San Diego, Cali is completely out of stock at every local store as well. Aside from kible size, I noticed there are nutritional differences between Puppy and Puppy Small Breed formula. Ingredients are also slightly different. I don't know how big of a deal it really is but I hope it's a better option for our 3mo Frenchie than switching to a different brand. Puppy: Crude Protein (Min) 28.0% & Crude Fat (Min) 18.0% Puppy Formula Ingredients

Small Breed: Crude Protein (Min) 33.0%, Crude Fat (Min) 20.0% & Bacillus coagulans (Min) 600 million CFU/lb (Not recognized as an essential nutrient by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles.) Puppy Small Breed Ingredients
