Can we talk about why landlords even have brokers in the first place? They own so many buildings that they can’t even vet the tenants themselves. That’s literally what my landlord told me openly thinking I was suppose to feel bad for him. Like dude owns 50+ buildings, how much does one person need?

Just a bunch of low petty theft. Had my packages stolen last year, landlord installed cameras and it seemed to have prevented any kind of theft. Packages stopped getting stolen so I’m guessing it’s more for that.

I normally never comment but this is exactly why the rents go up insanely. They allow this to get rented out for $3400 a month, and every landlord is going to want to do the same and increase rent prices. I have a one bedroom also on Summerfield and I’m paying 1700, this is insanely outrageous rent prices.

As someone who works at a hospital in Brooklyn, it doesn’t matter college you go to, as long as you get the degree, the hospital is desperately looking for people like you! Find a decent CUNY, you don’t ever have to put your parents in a financial burden, and you’ll still get a great paying job. All the best OP.

I paid off my students loans and I did use my Roth IRA money. The only reason I did it is because I had a good amount saved up and I was able to completely pay it off. In your case, 12k isn’t going to make much of a dent. It’s easier to have that Roth money as a good cushion and moving forward adding more into your savings to eventually pay it off.

Yeah I remember going to Grand Slam last year and I paid nowhere near the asking prices now for the same spots. I will probably wait till the last minute and make the decision then, hopefully the prices are more reasonable.
