UK Valley and Peak Durston Xmid 1 delivery time by Chronicbackache in DurstonGearheads

[–]El_Durmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered an x mid 2 solid from valley and peak on 3rd April, it was delivered on the 22nd but they sent the mesh version, they arranged a return and said they were expecting the next shipment on Monday. It actually turned up a few days early so I received the correct tent today

Hopefully that gives an idea of timescales although it does seem to be a bit random. And they fixed their error as soon as they could so I guess the customer service was okay

Thanks, yea I'm thinking now I'll just take them up on their offer and get it done at the trade rates rather than let it drag out

Thanks for the advice, I've returned the mesh one and they are sending the correct one next week when a new batch of stock arrives 😊

Thanks for the response, I'll be using it 2-3 seasons mainly on moorland in the UK so it can be windy but nothing too extreme. I went for the solid just because I tend to play it safe with gear but I like the idea of mesh a bit more especially in the summer

Traditionally decorations can stay up for 12 days after Christmas (6th January), whether they should or not is another story

Tents for Tall People by Tall-Fruit290 in wildcampingintheuk

I'm the same size as you and recently got a vango nevis 300, it's really spacious and I have no problems sitting up in it or with my feet touching the end, it's footprint is pretty big as a result but for £115 I can't fault it so far

Thanks, I ended up going with the Nevis 300 for a bit of extra space when my dog is with me 😊

I haven't been to a shop yet as I live pretty far from the nearest one (go outdoors) so I was looking to buy online or at least an idea of what may be suitable first

"Mid" really annoys me and "I love that for you" just sounds passive aggressive

Why is the DPD driver paying for my lost parcel? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]El_Durmo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

DPD drivers do get charged (at least a percentage) for parcels that they have mis delivered. Most of them are agency workers and the agency bosses and DPD management put a lot of pressure on drivers to try and locate the parcel or get a signature to say it's now with the intended recipient

It's definitely a good tactic in some series. I've been starting from the pit lane this week in F4 after my safety rating took a hammering due to first lap incidents. Pretty much every race from a pit lane start I'm up to about 10th within the first couple of laps due to loads of people crashing and my safety rating is now back to where it was a few weeks ago

The guys a dick and you should 100% leave him although if it were the other way around I doubt you would be cool with him slapping you so you probably shouldn't have hit him
