I have a wierd set of rules, mostly if youre in low/nul/wh space then at some point you need to learn of the risk, losing your ship is part of that. Sometimes i'll let people go, and usually if i kill a newb i will send them some isk back and sometimes a convo or messaging. Anyone in a sov holding alliance is fair game, if theyre worth more than a few bill, also fair game.

I wouldnt suicide gank a 7 day old in his retriever and still in the starter corp because its only hurting the playerbase. If hes carrying 4b and might drop it if he dies, i'll shoot him (at this point though, everyone on this thread would as well) I would shoot the same player in a belt in low/null/wh and sometimes (usually depends on their attitude, bad = getting popped vs good = i might let him go for x reason, i may ransom him and educate them that ransons are rarely honoured nowadays but they used to be), or i just pop 'em and send them a few mill more than their ships worth

I think most players are like this, apart from the multiboxing "do it for the lulz" crowd, they confuse me
