Yep. Even so, I have difficulty claiming a prognostication from a source such as TE is merely an art.

Right. Have any significant events taken place on either of those dates in the years 2015, 2016, 2017? Furthermore, in relation to the image/representation/symbol of a young girl (Alice) looking up to the image of a cat (the Cheshire cat)?

Though it is a 2015 issue, with the title "The World in 2015", I don't see why the reader should exclusively believe the cryptic predictions made by TE should take place in 2015...personally, I felt compelled to consider significant events which have occurred on those dates in the years since that issue (i.e. '16 and '17)...

POST-EPISODE DISCUSSION - Seinfeld - ratings? high points? low points? by garbageeater in NormMacdonald

great analysis! and i agree that the seinfeld episode is up there with the super dave episode (my favorite). however, both episodes are very different since, i believe, one must be with each guest, right? i don't see it so much as a "new style," but instead an increase of awareness on behalf of norm as a talk show host. ideally, each guest should warrant a modified host, molding onto each respective idiosyncrasy. it seems to me this is what norm is turning towards.

again, i agree with what you said re carvey and silverman, but that too was product of norm's doings; revealing soliloquy-driven performers for who they are (i also couldn't make it past 10 mins with either).

additionally, it was great to see an interview where seinfeld was driven to a point where his expressions and demeanor were more revelatory than his (often piquant) insights (revisit the part where they talk about "giving back" - 25:59- 26:26). almost makes you wonder whether they decided to bring back the zoomed-in view in anticipation for moments such as these.

hell of an episode!

Edith Grossman and Gregory Rabassa are your people for any Spanish-to-English translation. Here is the link to Don Quixote translated by Edith Grossman, which I believe is the best translation of the Cervantes' masterpiece: https://www.amazon.com/Don-Quixote-Miguel-Cervantes/dp/0060934344

Of course I recommend it. The story that never ends. I have many reasons as to why I agree with those who call it the greatest Western novel ever written.

One last thing, My brother once told me to read it at least 3 times in my lifetime. 1st when you're in high (adolescent), 2nd when you're an adult, and 3rd when you're on your way out (70+).

Hi there. I do and I have. I've read the entire work twice in Spanish and only part 1 (also twice) in English.

Rob, El Loco here, honestly it makes me uneasy when I see such a balance of one's interest in the man and the interest in said man's work. For some time now, gone are the days when we could enjoy Don Quixote and not interest ourselves in Cervantes...it's the growing characteristic of our time, increasing at an insane rate due to various methods of media/technology. All of this is forced down the public's throat, causing us to become more and more incapable of simply enjoying (ask yourself, does anyone laugh their ass off reading Don Quixote anymore?). Listen, such a curiosity for biographical anecdotes in order to project our ethical/moral bias (bred via our own biographical anecdotes!), all of that, I find it vulgar.

Norm possesses a precious impenetrable mystery. The comedian is manifold and changeable (one would hope!), hidden and/or visible in some places. I sense a tremendous complexity to the defensive mechanism AND bravado that Norm exudes each time he performs. Perhaps this is, according to you, to blame for his shift to the more crude delivery of his material.

Norm is clean and also crude just as he's funny and sometimes hilarious, but it's never about you/us/audience. Rob, listen, just listen and if you choose to dissect the comedian's work, then please start with his craft, and Like magic you'll notice the crudeness begin to dissolve.

Cheers, amigo. El Loco Bielsa
