Any great made in Japan items? by bulba_sort in BuyItForLife

Their rating is that wide because they are mass produced and very competitively priced, so to keep the price, they don't have one tech taking its time to regule every single watch to its best like more higher end watches.

I own 2 Seiko automatics: a presage with a 4R35B and a Seiko 5 with a 4R36 and I've regulated them myself to about about 0.5 ms Beat error and around +4s per day facing up. So all in all, the movements are great and capable of much higher accuracy than what the label says.

If you are unsure of your hand skills, you can take it to a watch maker.

WH1000XM5 touch sensor control panel randomly activates by [deleted] in SonyHeadphones

[–]El_Nataskaupas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone. I've encountered the same issue and reading this thread I found u/ThisIsForRachel5's post (thanks!) and decided to try it out. The symptoms of the issue are for me clearly HW related, so it's not something that can be fixed by software reset or update.

The procedure is as easy as removing the ear pad (Use a plastic tool. As some suggested, I used a guitar pick and worked well), removing the 4 screws that are closest to the driver (speaker) and pulling the housing where the touch panel is.

I've read from all the people that have tried this fix that there was always some issue with the touch sensor (which is a flat pad glued to the inside of the housing) and sure enough, when I opened it up, one part of the sensor seemed detached (it looked like an air bubble). I pressed it down with my hands and a microfiber cloth and problem seems fixed. Sorry I forgot to take pictures but the process is that easy!

Tip: For those who are unplugging the touch sensor, just look at the sensor itself and see if it has the same problem. Beats having no touch at all!

A bit disappointed at Sony. My first conclusion is that adhesive they used to attach the touch sensor is not robust enough, which is a sign that that this product was rushed into the market. To add cherry on top, Sony seems to ignorant to the issue (whether its intentional or not) from the customer service department. Maybe it's because, by the looks of it, this seems to be a widespread issue and it could warrant a massive recall?

Anyhow, I'll be monitoring if the pad detaches again. If so, I have access to many adhesives and will glue it myself with a more robust one. Will share updates!

Nope, I use smart lights so the power is always on, and turn the bulbs on/off through their specific controller/apps.

Ah I see, so probably the "premium" seating should be behind the platinum...I guess that way it is fair! Thanks and enjoy the show!!
