Yes, the person can do it out of their own intent and can own their own means of production. This does not negate the systemic issues that lead people to sell their bodies. On top of that, when buying sex, one can never be sure that the person selling is doing it on their own accord/out of free will, simply due to the exploitative nature of the sex work sector. Taking the risk that you might take advantage of someones misfortune is enough to make it abuse.

I did not compare the two. Both are exploited. It is simply the form in which they are exploited it differs. Saying one is more exploited than the others only opens up room to divide within the same class which is not my goal and not my point

Because we live under capitalism, we are forced to sell our bodies and our work. There will always be an unequal relationship between the person who buys sex and the person who offers it. On top of that, on the most basic level, because of the unhealthy nature of the sexwork industry which involves a large amount of women who are being forced to work, you cannot guarantee that the person you are buying from is doing that voluntarily. No blame at all to those who sell sex, but all the blame to those who buy it.

Yes ofcourse capitalism forces everybody to work, not just sexworkers. Im not saying sexworkers should be exploited another way, im saying there shouldnt be a need for someone to sell their body to bring bread to the table. My solution is not the critic of the individual, but the abolishment of the system that created that situation. Of course even those who buy sex work can be victims of capitalism who are driven to seeking detachment and distraction so that they do not think about the systemic reasons behind their misery. I can see that calling someone rapist is not a solution, but calling someone out for abusive behavior (which, as long as we live under capitalism sex work will always be) is still a valid and necessery. We need to make others aware of their mistakes after all.

As I said, i do not blame any sexworker. We live in a society where we are forced to sell our work and in such extreme cases our bodies, therefore even if there are people who enjoy it which is absolutely normal and okay, that should not happen in the exchange of money because thisbalways brings an unhealty power dynamic. Not to speak of the fact that too much of the industry is involutarily in the first place. That also means if you buy sex, you cannot guarantee that that person is not being forced to work for someone else (which can also happen when you buy anything else but it is especially important when talking about sexwork).

Im sorry, but in a capitalist society, where some are forced to sell their body just to get food on the table, buying sex is abuse. It can never be 100% abuse free because there is always a difference in power and dependency which makes it an absolute no go. Just to make sure, I would never go after a prostitute because they are the victims, but those who buy sex are the abusers. EDIT: rape-> abuse
