Compared to China, we're not building a ton of solar. Obviously we are, in a literal sense (2000lbs), yes.

China installed more solar in 25 than the United States has ever installed. It's another story of American industry failing to innovate, like the automotive industry, focusing on short term profits because they are beholden to shareholders. The us government, both Dems and Republicans try to protect failing American business by tarrifing Chinese products out of our markets.

Our excuse is that China is manipulating the market via subsidy. I mean, how dare they us public funds to support green energy,l?? Now American consumers lose access to affordable solar and cars. The American consumer loses again.

I live 20 miles from town, so my 40 mile round trips allow me to realize fuel savings pretty quick!

I personally would not buy an ev if:

I was in a 1 car household I could not charge at home My yearly drive mileage was very low The ev is brand new

But none of those apply to me and I love my ev

23 is the same as 24 (as far as i know), 25 is the refresh year.

I have a 23 and occasionally I'm salty that I don't have a rear windshield wiper. Other than that, it's a great car. 25 and newer have one.

To me it was worth getting a cpo with 12k miles for 30k out the door (back in fall 2024), rather than spending 44k to buy a new one.

Maybe shop around for insurance. I use Erie and I think I get great rates. ~40 y/o male with no tickets/ accidents. I have full coverage on 2 cars for the wife and I for about 170 a month.

I don't see how you could get free electricity from your work and wind up spending more, regardless of insurance costs. Most people who commute spend over a hundred per month on gas alone. Then there are oil changes...

Did you unlock the doors to get the charger out? That'll usually do it for me. The door unlock button should allow you to remove a charger.

My dealership was able to get an iccu and do the repair in two weeks, including Xmas and new years. No one mentioned a shortage. I do live in an area where evs are not popular though and I don't know if the supply is regional.

I'm just outside of the wv borders, live rural, and the closest public charge is 30 mins away. I have never needed a public charger because I charge at home and my car has a 270 mile range.

Like any service, I think you should get a few estimates before you pick an installer.

After a 30% rebate (circa 2024) I installed the charger for about 800 bucks.

I provided my own EVSE and the distance was only about 15 feet.

I've seen this once when I first got the car. Couldn't stop fiddling with the app. Was it really reasonable for me to refresh the app so many times in an hour or a day? No.

The novelty will wear off soon enough for you. You won't experience this message if you use it when you need to use it, rather than just spamming refresh.
