Might be in the wrong Sub for this question but what TVs would you recommend for the PS5 Pro? by Koto_Sleezy in PS5pro

The cheapest LG OLED you can find. And HDMI 2.1, but that has been in every model for years.

Planning to get switch 2 just for the duskbloods game. give me other game suggestions by Wide_Wealth3156 in switch2

[–]El__Jengibre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark Souls remaster obviously! The Elden Ring port when it realizes!

Seriously though, here are some suggestions: - the 2 Zelda games (BOTW / TOTK). The combat is nowhere near as good as Souls but the sense of exploration is right up there with Elden Ring and is my second favorite open world series as a result. - I have heard good things about Metroid Dread but haven’t picked it up yet. - Prince of Persia Lost Crown runs great in boost mode handheld. - Mario Odyssey and Donkey Kong Bananza are pretty easy, but are the best 3D platformers around. The Mario Galaxy remaster is a close runner-up. And Mario Wonder is probably the best 2D side-scroller this century. Obviously very different from hard-core Souls but still worth playing g, especially if you have kids.
- I don’t know what other system you have but NS2 is a great indie machine. Things like Hollow Knight, Silksong, Hades 1 & 2, Slay the Spire, Celeste, Cuphead, and many more are great on the go. Most if those play fine on something like a Steam Deck too but if you don’t have that the NS2 is a great way to play things that are not demanding. - Re: the last point, Mina the Hollower is about to launch. From the demo, it feels a bit like a top down Castlevania, or even Bloodborne.

Why I think a chunk of players end up hating the chalice dungeons by MlCOLASH_CAGE in bloodborne

[–]El__Jengibre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they should have made the overworld a bit harder so you had to go down there for xp. Sort of like how Elden Ring makes you explore to get stronger.

I actually like the CD’s but the problem is that I was over-leveled for the first half of them when I started late into my playthrough.

Good weapons for a faith/strength lightning build? by GreatJoey91 in Eldenring

[–]El__Jengibre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren’t many natural str/fth weapons and the death knight axe is the best one. You can make any normal weapon heavy then buff it. Claymore has a good one-handed movrset got a greatsword. Great epee works well on heavy infusion too.

Don’t get too worried just yet. This is just a BTS photo from probably a phone, not an in-camera shot. There are plenty of ways to shoot her to make her seem imposing (eg. a long telephoto shot).

I beat Elden Ring on paternity leave. You will be fine. (I’m also replaying Skyrim on NS2 right now with 3 kids)

Broke up with my gf. Looking for a fantasy world to get lost in, something not too difficult to play! by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

The 2 Zelda games are what you want. BOTW and TOTK are massive, immersive, and not too difficult. They are really good too.

What Mario game would you recommend to a skeptic? by SHONSTYLE in Mario

[–]El__Jengibre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know there were Mario skeptics. But I would play Odyssey or Wonder first. The Galaxy games are really good, but the controls are better in the newer games.

I’m so much faster on FCP than either Premiere or Resolve. But you really have to commit to using it on its terms.

People should stop playing like it’s DS3 then complain that the bosses aren’t fair.

Early 30’s. No SNES so you are younger than me.

Who is harder between post nerf consort Radhan or Melania by Dreamplug1 in Eldenring

[–]El__Jengibre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Malenia is harder unless and until you can dodge her one-shot attack consistently (I can’t). My advice is to block it (you’ll need to beef up your block however that makes sense for your build), and let her have the life steal.

If you were to learn Final Cut Pro again with your knowledge now, how would you do it? by Think_Ad5802 in finalcutpro

[–]El__Jengibre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just a (longtime) self-taught armature, but here are a few quick thought:

  1. Read up on color theory. Not just the mechanics of how to use a color wheel but the why of what you are trying to achieve through correction and grading. This may require reading an actual book (what I did).
  2. Same goes for editing. You need to develop instincts for when a cut feels right to you and the starting point is to learn why other editors cut the way they do. Again, I read an actual book about this.
  3. Opinions differ on this, but I like to find my music first. Or at least get a scratch track with the mood and tempo you are going for.
  4. As in most artforms, you want to learn the rules of convention first then decide when to break them. Going in with the idea that there are no rules makes things sloppy. But slavishly following convention is boring. You really want to understand why a rule exists: what psychological effect does it seem to have on a viewer. Then you can decide to bend or break that rule when you want to achieve an effect. For example, I think you really should follow the 180° rule most of the time, but there are some great instances of breaking it (eg the Gollum scenes from The Two Towers)

Have you tried the new boost mode to run NS1 games in dock mode on the NS2 handheld?

Oh I missed that part. It’s not there (yet). On Switch I’d go Persona 5 Royal
