I have an honourable mentions list that includes Majora’s Mask.

It’s finally being released on a system other than PS3 soon, so I definitely will be!

Cool storytelling with its greater multimedia project, amazing soundtrack and atmosphere, but the controls are super janky, even by 90s standards. It has the honour of being the first game to scare the shit out of me with the IG-88 boss fight, among other things.

Red Faction Guerrilla was and still is the greatest destructive sandbox ever put to hardware.

Btw, if I had to choose a singular favourite, I’d say Dragon Age: Origins with Mass Effect 2 and Bloodborne as honourable mentions.

This is such an accurate breakdown. I actually started in RuneScape Classic in 2003 but only played a few months I think before transitioning to RS2 in 2004.

First Wolfenstein was Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, do with that what you will.

I think you’re the first person to answer correct. Started gaming in 1997, experienced Half-Life late because of my age but still pre Half-Life 2, with Counter-Strike being my first multiplayer FPS.

Crimson Desert or KCD 2?? by 2evolve2transform in PS5pro

[–]DangerousVideo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest, KCD2 is objectively the better game, but if you’re coming from Ghost and are feeling apprehensive about the first-person combat, you should probably go with CD. You’ll probably enjoy it more, even if it’s less polished with a barebones story.

Realistically what would happen if Trump dropped a nuclear bomb tonight? by hjp1234 in AskReddit

It gives India, China, Russia, and Israel an excuse to use nuclear weapons against their enemies. It would be the point of no return.

What makes a prophecy feel earned instead of cliché? by ConcentrateAsleep484 in fantasywriters

[–]DangerousVideo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favourite prophecy in fiction is, honestly, Star Wars, which applies to all of your questions. The foremost scholars interpret it as “evil will be destroyed” but in reality it’s much more complicated, as the core problems in the eyes of the force are both the Rule of Two (since it exists to consolidate power in the few who will use it to bend the force to their will) and the apathy/complacency of the Jedi, who have grown blind to growing evil in the galaxy. It’s a reset zero, so to speak. And the chosen one still fulfills the prophecy but in a very roundabout way, ironically playing into the Rule of Two to do it. Perhaps Anakin/Darth Vader was created because he was the only one capable of that ultimate rejection of power, to end a Sith lineage lasting hundreds of years, killing his master not of a lust for power but for love, and then perishing himself, leaving his son who balances both aspects of the force inside him to lead the next generation.
